Last Saturday, I was able to pick up the Hybrid XLT w/Lux that I ordered as my daughter's college graduation present.
Shout out to Olathe Ford (Olathe, KS) for making the transaction easy, including the Private Offer, even though we both had moved since I made the order. Thanks to everyone on...
Congrats!
Seventeen months and one day after I ordered it, we brought my daughter's Maverick home on Saturday. She's happy, and I'm glad this journey is finally over!
Definitely wait to sell. Your truck will likely be part of several different trains while moving from Mexico to Michigan, and then have to sit in a lot at the final ramp until there are enough vehicles going to your dealer to make up a truckload. That's a lot of variables Ford and your dealer...
My 9/17/21 order, rolled over to a 2023 in November, is now showing "In Production" on the tracker, and the modules are populating on the Motorcraft site. Woot! Hybrid XLT w/Lux and CP 360.
9/17/21 XLT Hybrid with Lux. I was one of the semi-automatically rolled-over 22 orders.
Finally, as of today, I have a window sticker! It's getting built!
I'm a 22 rollover and decided to chat with Ford today.... I have a VIN (again) and it shows In Production on the tracker! I never got that far with my 22 order.
I now have in my possession a 2023 order sheet with my desired options, and it shows Priority 10. Woot!
Now back to the waiting. They say it's the hardest part.
From what I understand about Toyota, you don't "special order" a car from them so much as you sit down with the dealer, find out what they have coming through the pipeline in the next few months, and make the deal on the car that's optioned like you want. Toyota seems to have a pretty good grip...
Mine's a 9/17/21 order of an XLT Hybrid w/Lux/360. I've been through 9/26, 10/10, 10/24, 11/7, 11/14, and now 11/28 build weeks. At this point, it's well beyond ridiculous.
Another Tuesday, another bump, I'm now at 11/7.
The funny/sad thing is that Ford is only #3 on the list of companies that are severely disappointing me right now.
Same here. Was 9/26 when I got the VIN via chat, 10/3 on the actual email, then bumped to 10/10 and now 10/24. At this rate, it may be quite a while before any '23 Hybrids are built.
I ordered a Hybrid last September without a test drive, but about month later my dealer got a bare-bones EB XL as a demo unit, and I was able to take it out for a 30-minute drive. I was sold.
Tomorrow will be one year since I ordered a Hybrid XLT with Lux & CP360. This morning, I received the email from Ford saying it's scheduled for production the week of 10/3. Woot!
