I have a 12/6 build date for my HPR Lariat FX4 and I will be doing the same thing as soon as I get my Wildtrak that I ordered on 10/27/21. (8/29/20 reservation) I am also getting a 2dr carb gray.Yup. I ordered my Bronco in May. Since I had no idea when it would be built, I ordered my Maverick and made a killing selling my Q50. Still don’t have a vin or build date on the Bronco. But I get to drive a brand new Lariat maverick until the Bronco is ready. Just hoping that I do alright on selling the maverick whenever the bronco is ready.
Also carb gray ftw

I've always heard it as "Tip the veal, try the waitress"Try the veal... tip your waiter.
So far 3 dealers in, 1 said 32k.... One said they are trying to sell them over MSRP, so they won't pay over MSRP for one.OP, if you will seriously consider doing this, you need to shop around, it's likely you can gain more with a little effort.
Back in the summer when I flipped my F150, Vroom was the high bidder, until I found a Honda dealer who matched it.
I would do the same with the Mav, if I ever get it, but it would take +$5k to make it worth my trouble.
Wondering about carmax or ??? Offers? For an extra $2K... No.. at $3500+ I would start to consider it.
For me I’d still lose due to taxes…Assuming you already own another working vehicle, would you flip your Mav for a profit? Scenario: I bought my MAV @ Chapman 4% under invoice. I went to the parts department at the local dealer, and while I was waiting the used manager came up and said they would give me 2k over MSRP if I sold my truck.
After doing some quick rough math.I would come out with a little over 2k profit after taxes paid.![]()
It's not much, but I'm also on the fence about ordering a Hybrid, instead of sticking with my Ecoboost.
Thoughts?
Yup. Gotta take advantage of the craziness somehow. My infinity value just kept going up. Like a $1000 every couple weeks. Pre pandemic I would have broke even if I sold it. Made 11k on it from Carvana a couple weeks ago. Had to get something brand new and at MSRP or better for it to make sense. Buying used just gets in your pockets on the way out, rather than in. There are no decent prices used cars anymore.I have a 12/6 build date for my HPR Lariat FX4 and I will be doing the same thing as soon as I get my Wildtrak that I ordered on 10/27/21. This is pretty much a similar scenario to where I started. The Carvana and Vroom values, went from 17k (06/20) on my other car to $31,100(current). Didn't sell it yet, as I was waiting on the Mav to come in first. Eventually the Mav came in, and I decided to hold on longer. Not sure how long these values will last.Yup.
