Yeah, same page here with 1,100 miles she went from 19.2 MPG to 20.05 MPG very underwhelming at this point. Especially since I traded in (well sold to CarMax) her 2016 Ford Fiesta SE which was getting 35 MPG and was pretty much paid off. But she loves it so we’ll see if this improves when we’re done with the winter gas blend here. And that’s with Approx 80% Highway too.
I'm between 20 and 22 for the most part. Best I've seen is going up 27 to the Loaf and back 150mi of 55-60mph cruise and there I get 30 every time. I've started taking the Fiesta for long trips again as 40mpg beats 20 every time.

All city, lots of stop and go.
That's measured at the pump, not using the computer, which seems to be optimistic
Same for me, all city, three tanks, 21.5, 21.9, 21.9. Current mileage is about 21.2. 920 miles total.

I just have 400 miles on my truck and I'm getting about 18.5 mpg on it which is confusing me and I'm very easy on the gas pedal. I'm hoping it has to do with a break in period??

Idling really kills mpg, stop light or lunch breaks both.

Curious how big/weight of that trailer ?
It was a 5x8 enclosed Uhaul Trailer moving all of my world possessions. I'd guess closer to 2k total weight including the trailer with nothing in the bed and I was the only passenger. Average across the entire trip was around 15 mpg, but for about a full tank and a half after I got north of Denver I was really chugging.

These were also pretty highspeed highways. Any time I could do about 55-60 it would, to the surprise of no one, significantly improve my mileage. But time was of the essence trying to beat more severe winter storms. I think I arrive in Montana at a cool -18 F.

Wind and at altitude will have that 4 cylinder chugging gas like nothing- lol. Thx for the update.

FYI true gas mileage will not be accurate till the engine in broken in. 3-5K is the point and on is when that engine or any new engine will show
I am very curious what kind of MPG my Mav will get out in the Tacoma area. My F150 with the 6 Cyl Ecoboost used to average 16-17 for most driving which was a bit disappointing. That would get 21-22 if mostly city driving and single digits while towing. Hoping the Mav will be at least in the mid 20's for routine use.
Is that Egon (Dan Aykroyd) behind Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore in "Ghost" ..... dam you got skills ;)

sorry off topic

I can't complain too much about the mileage at altitude necessarily. I'm living between 5-6k, and on my regular drives, I'm still about 27mpg combined city/highway. But I also take the 50 mph side roads to school and work when time permits.

I got 13 towing our new trailer the day we picked it up and drove the 4 hours home at 75 mph. Was able to raise it to 14 by slowing down to 70 on the second half which had 2 passes we had to go over.

I've been pretty happy with mine so far. Lots of city driving and idling. The cold, and winter gas doesn't help any. Just filled up for the first time this morning, made it 300 mi on the first tank. When I'm cruising on the interstate at 70 mph, I'm getting about 30 mpg. For reference, my wife's Expedition is averaging 18 mpg this winter, but was above 22 mpg in the summer.

No one gets worst mileage than us in NYC, Ecoboost AWD, average about 13-14 in the city. Have gotten up to 29 MPG, on the highway. I thought my previous BMw's were bad, its just the city streets, every other block a stop sign or light.

Didn’t reset the computer for the last 1600 miles and it said 23.9mpg, which is probably 0.5-1mpg optimistic. Just sold it now that my hybrid came in. Looking forward to getting closer to 600 miles to a tank vs 400.
i am thinking about grabbing an ecoboost, my hybrid was ordered 10/21...think its still a good idea?
