Everyone's focused on the best MPG, so let's see what the opposite end of the spectrum shows... What's the worst MPG folks have gotten on 1 tank?
Yeah, same page here with 1,100 miles she went from 19.2 MPG to 20.05 MPG very underwhelming at this point. Especially since I traded in (well sold to CarMax) her 2016 Ford Fiesta SE which was getting 35 MPG and was pretty much paid off. But she loves it so we’ll see if this improves when we’re done with the winter gas blend here. And that’s with Approx 80% Highway too.

Still on first tank, picked up the truck on Tuesday, had surgery on Wednesday, so only drove a total of 70 miles. Driving East on the interstate @ 65mpg the computer was reading 25+ mph and climbing, had to turn around and go West on the interstate and mpg’ speed the computer were going down, got to about 20. Cold, northern climate, and wind severely affect MPG. But even at 20 it’s still better than the Ram was.

Didn’t reset the computer for the last 1600 miles and it said 23.9mpg, which is probably 0.5-1mpg optimistic. Just sold it now that my hybrid came in. Looking forward to getting closer to 600 miles to a tank vs 400.
Do I understand correctly that you owned a Mav EcoBoost that you just sold? How did your sale price compare with the sticker when you purchased it?

My first truck, a 1965 Chevy 1/2 ton Fleetside got 16 mpg city 22Hwy inline 6 cyl 230 cid, 3 on the tree. Gas was $.35 per gallon minimum wage was $1.95 per hour. Paid $450 for the used truck with 68000 miles on it, back in the good ole dayz.

The first two tanks it was 17mpg and that was a lot of city driving with lots of stop lights, signs and in cold cold single digit winter weather. Got it,up to 20 now with babying the throttle.

Hand calculated 19.2, dash says 23.5. It’s been cold and I use remote start a lot.

Living in the cold Northeast, I've let mine warm up a few times too many, so I'm getting about 24 mpg.

I think you're OK. Winter driving throws fuel economy for a loop. I was getting great fuel economy until the cold weather hit. All that idling warming it up, slipping and sliding around on the snow and ice, winter gas, etc. it all negatively affects it. This is my last tank, poorest fuel economy to date, in -20 to -30C temps real winter driving conditions. The 11.2 liters/100 kms average indicated, turned out to be 11.9 actual (hand calculated), 23.7 mpg Imperial, 19.8 mpg US.

I really wish the EPA would have to put a winter and summer gas mileage rating on the sticker. Would be nice for us northerners A.

One of the five litmus tests the EPA uses in their MPG calculations is "cold weather," so it is factored into the final numbers. However, that test is done at 20F so it doesn't really translate to the upper Midwest.

The first day I drove it, it was getting 17mpg. The more I drove it, the higher it went. Overall, at 4953 miles, I'm getting 26.8. I was at 27.4 for a long time, but as mentioned in a previous post, the mpg dropped when the weather turned colder. The highest mpg was all highway at 30.1 mpg.

I'm in SoCal and live up on top a hill in Laguna Beach and getting 20.5 at 1100 total miles. Much lower than my Subaru Crosstrek.
