  1. New software update?

I know we are derailing this thread... This is great and I'm definitely stealing it.
  2. Roll N Lock retractable bed cover installed

lol, it probably is. I thought about that as well, just don't go deep :D
  3. Retrax RetraxONE XR Tonneau Cover installed AMA

I believe it's an issue with being unable to handle the volume of water that the car wash puts on the cover at one time. The little rails inside get overwhelmed and spill over
  4. Retrax RetraxONE XR Tonneau Cover installed AMA

I'm not sure if you have bought the cover already or not, but I have had a lot of water issues with mine lately. Specifically going through an automatic car wash gets everything wet along both sides of my bed. Things in the middle are spared though. I'm seriously debating getting rid of this...
  5. Retrax RetraxONE XR Tonneau Cover installed AMA

yes, i drilled out 1/2 inch holes in the bed directly below where the drain tubes connect. there are very small drain holes already in the bed from the factory and i just widened them enough for the drain tubes to fit inside.
  6. ForScan mod - enable all drive modes: eco, sport, mud and snow (confirmed working)

i also noticed auto start/stop gets disabled in sport mode. it makes sense to me that would be the case. since eco mode just reduces pedal response and changes gear change speeds id say it depends on your current driving style. if you have a twitchy right foot, as I do sometimes, it'll...
  7. New MPG with 32" BFG KO2s (and lift)

I wonder if forscan could fix the speedometer problem with the larger tire size. I know it has some built in values, but I believe they are only the different stock sizes.
  8. Roll N Lock retractable bed cover installed

I think you misunderstood my post, but I'll try to answer your question. The cover you are seeing (grommet) you would either just pull out or drill a hole through it depending on how large the tubing is that you need to fit through it. For my cover I was unable to use those drain ports and had...
  9. What cable is everyone running?

Vgate vLinker FS OBD2 USB Adapter for FORScan HS/MS-CAN Auto Switch This worked great for me. It's 35$, approved by forscan, and automatically switches between the two communication types. Only issue I had was not knowing I needed to download the drivers before using it.
  10. ForScan mod - enable all drive modes: eco, sport, mud and snow (confirmed working)

Glad my post helped you out. I think forscan updated the easy mode and it made this super easy to do. The first post talking about changing specific numbers is the hard mode, but also means you actually know what you are changing.
  11. What are the best accessories or mods you've done?

Yes, there are multiple options for parked dashcam modes depending on the brand/model you buy. Motion, always on, bump detection, I'm sure there's others.
  12. Another remote start gone wrong, GLOWING CAT

Honestly, that sounds like "why do I live here" weather. That's insanely cold. But I agree that anytime it's cold outside it's a safety issue to warm up the vehicle before leaving. A comfortable driver is more capable of dealing with adverse conditions, and lack of visibility is much worse...
  13. Anyone like the dial shifter?

The shifter dial does take some getting used to, but as others have stated you can just rotate it a bunch clockwise and it will be in D, 2 clicks counter-clockwise from drive puts you into R, and don't worry about park because it happens automatically when you shut off the engine. As for the...
  14. ForScan mod - enable all drive modes: eco, sport, mud and snow (confirmed working)

the easy setup screen works perfectly for this on my truck (details in signature). i got all the drive modes enabled and tested the "new" eco and sport modes to make sure they worked. im surprised by the difference between sport and eco modes. the balance shifts far more heavily to the rear...
  15. Lariat Leather Key Fob Cover

The fobb is really large. I wonder if this cover would reduce the number of accidental clicks that happen in my pocket. I've set off my alarm a couple of times playing with my friends dog.
  16. Payload of a fully optioned Lariat ?

Mine is 1322lb payload. I have everything but the moonroof. Ecoboost, FX4, 4k, AWD, Lariat, lux, full size spare, all weather mats.
  17. professional ceramic coating questions

What was your experience with the ppf and ceramic coating? I've heard that the ppf is supposed to be self healing after minor scratches. It's pretty expensive but I like the idea of rain just falling off, my Alto blue seems to attract water spots like nothing I've ever seen before.
  18. Which do you think will have less problems/ better longevity the hybrid or eco boost?

Good thing the hybrid has a 7 year warranty on the powertrain then. I assume that includes the battery, but even if it doesn't a hybrid doesn't need most of its battery capacity to function far more efficiently than the ecoboost motor. Additionally I doubt that the battery will degrade as badly...
  19. Minor niggle with the backup camera lens

totally agree about the placement of the lens. I didnt get nearly as many issues with rain sticking to my camera on my subaru impreza. being low to the ground doesnt seem to be the issue, i believe it is the shape and lack of cover. the camera on my subaru was tucked up above the license plate...
