Show some long term data.
I'll ask you for the same on your hybrid reliability. Why did the recalls start again? How many engine fires before FORD was legally forced to do something? Don't the Escapes have the same issues?

Quit trolling. Go back to your hybrid section. You came in here trolling, you'll leave a troll.

I'm not making a claim other than it's to early to tell. That's what "the jury is still out" means. Take it easy.

Knew the wait time would be far less than if I'd ordered the hybrid. Ordered Nov. 3rd, 2021 and received April 7, 2022.

However, if I were to do this over again, I should have ordered the AWD with the 4K tow package rather than the FWD. Didn't know I'd be pulling a cargo trailer, and while the 2000lb hauling capacity is fine for what I need it for, the 4K would have been the better choice. My dry weight is 1100lbs, and my fully loaded weight is 1400-1500lbs.

It is weird. I've never visited a Hybrid specific thread to tell folks why I believe my EB order was the superior choice. The constant justifying of your own purchase by criticizing the choice of others is ridiculous (and that goes both ways!). It's just weird. The intention of this thread was simply to ask some of us why we chose to purchase/order the EcoBoost... Oh well.

I mean other than different rear suspension, different transmissions, different engines, varying underseat storage, exclusive options (Tremor, FX4, 4KTow, AWD).. they are still the same truck. I've driven both in the city, so not being able to really stretch the legs of the EB, they felt very similar. Looking forward to the first opportunity to drive it on I-19 (75mph speed limit)

Anyway, the EB/Hybrid bickering, It's such a stupid Taste Great / Less Filling arguement.

Wow that escalated fast jeesh , Dick measuring contest! Nice adult talk here, I just stated facts, we could also get into Ecoboost recalls, and head gaskets failing. and all those but why its same dam truck. Neither is a bad option. This is why i don't like forums

As much as I love our hybrid, I've also grown to appreciate what the ecoboost brings to the table. They both have their pros and cons, but are both solid trucks. The ecoboost is faster, tows more, and has AWD. The hybrid is more efficient, should be more reliable long term, and is more refined/quiet.

I know we on the forums can sometimes engage in playful rubbing, but I like to believe it's all in good fun with no actual malice.

It is a nice color, but honestly, it's weird to me how similar it is to Cactus Grey. And for that matter, why Ford has Area 51 and also Azure Grey Metallic. And yet no green?

AWD was #1 reason. 4k Tow was #2. Availability, horsepower/torque were also high priorities.

I actually think both engines are great choices depending on your needs. I was just saying reliability seems tough to assess at this time. Not many mavericks have hit high miles yet so the data are very limited.

Just so it's clear, folks end up in here because the thread gets promoted to the front page without indication of where it lives unless you look after you are in there. I don't go wandering into the ecoboost subforum on purpose. This is also how you end up with a ton of posts in the regional forum that don't have anything to do with that region.

I agree. I simply won't tolerate it is the difference. And that's half the reason I feel the need to clarify why the Hybrid actually is a great choice when I call them out on the hypocrisy. If they made one in AWD/Tremor the majority agree it's what they would have - as evidence in this thread clearly shows.

The jury is not out on the issues as we know them to exist though. It's not to early to tell. One has major engine recalls and the other doesn't which is a deciding factor for a good percentage of people as well.

It's just sad it needs to be spelled out in crayon this way.

I've laughed at many of your posts before. It's the way you insert yourself and now are trying to backpaddle playing the victim about it. Clarify what your intent is early on and stop trolling. The jury is not out, there is no "long term data" and you know this as proof of your following posts, so why post that way to begin with? Hybrid specific issues are well known amongst these forums and elsewhere and maintenance with the EB's is too. That is what we know. We clearly agree about the majority - but I disagree with the way you chose to insert yourself into this discussion. Sadly, that's fairly common with the comments you leave that I don't enjoy. Take care sprubs. Just know I don't hold a grudge. I'll still laugh with you moving forward.

There are 1,000 different ways you could have tactfully inserted yourself into this discussion, but you chose the worst way. You came in stating "facts" that simply don't exist and are non factual. You don't like forums because you don't know how to conduct yourself. Thanks for stopping by.

Well you could get into all of that. You could do just that. Or you might just consider that the intention of this thread was simply to ask some of us why we chose to purchase/order the EcoBoost. Some of the reasons are quite subjective; we really didn't need all of the facts stated.

But hey, thanks for showing up and making sure to correct any misgivings any of us might have had about the hybrids. Perhaps you've given pause to some EB owners and they now have buyers remorse.

However, I think you might have been happier and caused yourself less stress if you just sat this thread out. The nice thing about forums is that you don't have to respond to every thread, even if you disagree with some of the suppositions. I think you'd like forums more.

Enjoy your hybrid fuel savings and resale value.

I thought the saleman asked me if I wanted "Eco boobs".

I wasn't sure what that even meant, but it turned out it was nothing liked I'd hoped it meant.

Wrong I did state facts, Simple stated there are less parts on the hybrid engine, I did not state that it was superior, I just stated there is less parts to fail. Simple facts, They are both good power plants. I did not come out swinging that this was some dick measuring contest, I just stated facts, simple answer. Both are Fords trust me I almost bought the Eco boost AWD and I own one in a Bronco Sport. They both fit different objectives. But I stated facts from experience of 40 years around autos and trucks
