I have an EcoBoost for the same reason that people climb Mount Everest.

Because it was there.

Logical me was smitten by the Hybrid's hypothetical fuel economy. Ordered a Hybrid in August 2021. Eleven months later, Ford threatened to open the order book for 2023. I decided to place another Hybrid order with a different dealership. When I arrived at the distant dealership, they had the EcoBoost available on the lot with exactly the same color and options I had ordered as a Hybrid. No AWD, no 4K towing, but I don't need those, have a 4WD F150 that tows 10K.

Took the EcoBoost for a test drive and I was blown away by the performance of this Truck. It sure felt fast to me. Logical me was dispatched and emotional me wanted to drive it home. Unfortunately, the dealer wanted $10K of additional markup, so I didn't drive it home that day. After two weeks of further negotiation, I did drive it home after paying significantly less ADM. After waiting a year, I finally had a Maverick!

My Hybrid order finally arrived after a 17 month wait. It's great too, but I'm keeping the EcoBoost. It's got the power. And that will do.

What type of exercises do you do that keep them so strong?
Usually just looking down to make sure I still have a sac is usually enough. Not just a fleshy patch where it should be.

AWD. I'm in the woods a lot and I would rather put down power to 4 wheels.

Awesome picture, it's too bad that we are on the opposite sides of the states. I would love to take my bike with the Maverick there...

You're buying a unibody "truck" - why not get the FWD with 40+ mpg? The act of purchasing a Maverick shows that you are fine with "less of a truck".
Wow, really…..

Nice spot for mountain biking. What did you put down to stop the bike from scratching the paint?
Nothing. 😉 While I don't purposefully scratch it and try to take care of it, with how often I'm out on forest roads the rest of the paint is already scratched. The tailgate might have the best paint, actually.

I moved to a OneUp rack a few months ago. Allows me to bring more stuff and use my tonneau while ensuring my bike and my tailgate don't get scratched.

I was talking about the pad that is draped over. It looks like it’s tied down to the truck.

Apologies, misread that completely. It's a Himal Outdoors tailgate pad. Worked well, but I ended up upgrading to a Fox pad to better keep bikes separated.

AWD with the independent rear suspension. Plus wanted the FX/4 package which is an absolute steal at 800 bucks. I consider my FX/4 at 30.6K the absolute best bang for the buck of any vehicle I ever bought with the possible exception of my wife's Jeep purchased days before COVID with 7K off MSRP and high book for her low mileage Sonata. I was afraid of getting arrested for GTA on the drive home. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Thanks for the tip. This will even match with my black Mav with the orange Tremor accents.

Shouldn't you be on the Corvette forums? Or the F350 forums?

c'mon man.
I thought by my previous post about not having a limp wrist would give you insight as to why I could never own a corvette.
I got one because I need to do truck stuff and I refuse to jump on the hype train of hybrid. It’s another drive system to have issues with.
Not to mention I love ecoboost engines.
