Engine just out of warranty?
Clearly stated it has 224,000 miles. There may be extended service contracts for that mileage...but not a factory warranty.
And if you believe all customers that say they changed the oil when the oil monitor said to....
In my opinion that oil was changed at intervals well over 10,000 miles at least on occasion.
This is the kind of post that simply add disinformation and cause false claims about changing oil.

I always change the oil (3 different cars) when the oil monitor says 50% oil life. I have tracked the miles and that occurs around 5,000 miles. I use full synthetic of varying brands. 2017 with 138k miles, and 2010 with 185k miles and no engine issues. They run like new.

Hmm platinum trim could happen if Ford wants to find out just how high the market can go for a unibody trucklette.

But the dash and door panels would have to be better also.

Main thing I hope and expect to see in 2024 is a ST or whatever they call a street performance version with more horsepower.

Not everyone has an elephant memory and remote starts their car every time before getting out the door and headed. To their car.

A guy that has a memory worse than a pregnant woman. (me) forgets to remote start his car frequently...

I can't wait until they announce the 2024 options. I have my 2023 in order but as I am still months out I could see myself waiting to pull the plug on a 2024 if a better color showed up *Grabber blue in mind. My order is white with BAP now.

Just read "Exclusive! 2024 Ford Maverick Pickup Truck review" on Ford Trend website.

Wasn't able to cut and paste anything but I was surprised to learn from their review that "The Ford Maverick weighs 12,000 pounds and has 45 inches of rear legroom". Pretty amazing for a compact vehicle.

It's a decently short window between now and expected 2024 order banks opening on July 17th. But I don't see many people speculating when they'll release what upgrades Ford is adding to the Maverick for 2024.

The 2024 Ranger was recently unveiled. I know there was a lot more in terms of upgrades to the Ranger. It's also still not appearing on Ford's website under Vehicles to build & price. The 2024 Mustang was up pretty quick to build & price.

Once the 24' Maverick is released I'm curious how long it will take to replace the 23' on their website.

As for what the upgrades will be... I have pretty low expectations. Who has a set of realistic expectations for 2024 updates?

I believe the "order banks" will be closed after the first day. Then maybe 3 or 4 days later the colors and options will come out. then maybe 2 or 3 weeks later the website will be updated.

My Mustang gives me about 1,000 miles until it's time to change. I rarely drive it though, and it knows how it is driven.

I've run 389,432 miles with oil changes at 10,000 miles on Corolla with 1.8L . It was burning a quart of oil every 10,000 miles after 200K. No other issues.

Strange that the Hybrid specs call for 5.7 quarts of 0W20 Full Synthetic oil.

2024 Specs will be revealed july 16th at 11:00pm. Order banks will open at 7am, crash at 7:30 am, re open at 7:55, and close at 8:05 Build and price will not be available until mid september, when there will be exactly 7 STs available to order, and 4 AWD hybrids available to pre order with q constraint related production window of early 2025.
