They don't have access to the same system as the dealer and are sometimes wrong. The dealer has the most accurate info but usually only the sales manager. You are paying the dealer for your order, make them work for you and give you info.

Some can sit for weeks and weeks (a few months) at the rail drops while some that were dropped after were delivered. It is up to the railroad and transport company, not Ford or the dealer. I've heard some sit because the batteries are dead and they can't get anyone to charge/switch them.
