  1. Who still has their Maverick purchased new?

Some refer to the Maverick as an F-50 or mini-duty. You must be looking for the F-10 or micro-duty Ford. :)
  2. Who still has their Maverick purchased new?

New 8/2023. 59,000 miles. Changed all drive line fluids once at around 30k mi. Oil every 5,000 miles. No issues except 2 or 3 of the common recalls.
  3. Ford Midsize EV Truck News: Ford Skunkworks (EVDC) - first ever behind the scenes tour; sneak peek at EV pickup [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

We recently had high gas prices before for YEARS (not a couple months) at a time because of regulatory policy. In 2022 when the minor incursion of Russia into Ukraine occurred, a gallon of regular gas spiked to about $5.00/gallon in the mid-Atlantic region. In 2012, the average annual price of...
  4. Ford Midsize EV Truck News: Ford Skunkworks (EVDC) - first ever behind the scenes tour; sneak peek at EV pickup [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

This is nothing new. The Chinese government owns Chinese companies and subsidizes them. It is deliberate to undermine US companies. I believe Japan was doing the same thing in the early 70's and helped them gain a foothold in the US. Quality and poor management impact aside, it helps when...
  5. Upgraded to 245/60/18. A bit concerned

In another thread, I posted: initially replaced my OEM Michelins with Cooper Road and Trail, increased the size to 235/65/18. Mostly I wanted 3Peak rating and they had good reviews on Tire Rack. I thought the up size looked better, and the taller tire was a noticeable height increase. HOWEVER...
  6. Window Trim issue

Decided to try and fix it. In the warm sun I pushed it/slid my fingers along the length of the window toward the gap and it stretched and closed up. Looks good now. I think I will keep it treated with 303 protectant to help keep it pliable and maybe reduce shrinkage and see how it goes.
  7. Window Trim issue

Happening on both of my rear windows. 56k Miles so beyond the bumper to bumper warranty. Does anyone think Ford will cover this since it is a common problem? If you had it fixed, did it last or did they use the same parts? Has anyone been successful with another fix?
  8. Tire replacement time is approaching.

I also had a wider (65 aspect ratio) than you are considering, so there was more rolling resistance.
  9. Tire replacement time is approaching.

Some of the Maverick logged mpg loss was related to odometer/speedometer error with the larger tires. But it seemed like I was filling up more often over a few tanks than usual. Since going back, I am going further on a tank.
  10. Tire replacement time is approaching.

I initially replaced my OEM Michelins with Cooper Road and Trail, increased the size to 235/65/18. Mostly I wanted 3Peak rating and they had good reviews on Tire Rack. I thought the up size looked better, and the taller tire was a noticeable height increase. HOWEVER, the tire was about 7...
  11. how times have changed..

No wonder. I am going to look for it again.
  12. Auto Start / Stop mandate repealed!

Regs=> or Regulation: noun The act of regulating or the state of being regulated. A principle, rule, or law designed to control or govern conduct. A governmental order having the force of law I think this is part of the pushback aside from the impact of whether it is hard on the mechanicals or...
  13. Auto Start / Stop mandate repealed!

I guess it depends on how quick your footwork is.
  14. Auto Start / Stop mandate repealed!

Not really that complicated to delete. If a button is a simple delete and people can over-ride it in forscan, Ford should be able to do it with ease.
  15. Auto Start / Stop mandate repealed!

Gasoline consumption peaked around 2018 at over 143 billion gallons annually, dipped significantly in 2020 to ~127.7 billion due to pandemic restrictions, and has recovered to roughly 137 billion gallons by 2023. Consumption generally remains near or below 2018-2019 levels despite population...
  16. how times have changed..

And I could not find the TDC point on the fly-wheel
  17. Maverick tows Clamshell Sled Trailer easily

The trailer is nicer looking. :)
  18. Auto Start / Stop mandate repealed!

Maybe Ford should have a stop sale order to fix the SS mechanical defect.
  19. Auto Start / Stop mandate repealed!

I have 2 cars with it and hit the defeat button as soon as I get in the car. It can be abrupt if you are stopped and engine is off and you go too fast from break to gas in traffic for example. You end up on the gas before the engine starts, and when it does start, it is then very abrupt and...
  20. Removed the Black overlay on the B-C Pillars

I also removed the black vinyl a couple years ago and like it better that way.
