Most likely because Boomers have more time to spend on the computer and the rest that have time are too busy playing video games.
Being active on this forum has seriously cut into my gaming time! 😂 And I’m solidly in the first 1/4 of the boomer range! Make time for both! 😂

Some of us in the Silent Generation, were born before WW2. I was born in 1940 before the U.S. was envolved in the war. I'm a 84 year old FART!
My dad was born in 1937 and almost bought a Maverick. His needs, however, are fulfilled by a used, low-mileage Ford Ranger he picked up two weeks ago. His other car is a 2022 Ford Fusion Hybrid. Thus, the hybrid version of the Maverick appealed to him. The inability to get an XL Hybrid was one of the primary reasons why he chose not to go that route.

Like your dad, we older guys think things out before making a move, I kinda like your fathers way of doing things.

This line of thinking is creeping up in my reasoning as well.

My wife needs, wants, and deserves the shiny new vehicle. We just leased a new Mach-E, and she loves it. The 2022 PHEV Escape replaced a Chevrolet Bolt, and she misses having an EV where she doesn't have to visit a gas station (we have solar and an L2 charger). We will sell her 2022 PHEV Escape SEL when the HOV/Carpool lane stickers come in for the Mach-E.

My needs would be better met with an older regular-cab long-bed pickup truck. As such, I am considering selling the Maverick and buying an OBS/1992-1997 or pre-1975 Ford pickup truck.

Selling the Maverick may be challenging since it will need someone who likes the modifications.

I always thought Tom Brokaw had the greatest description of the "silent generation". He called them the "greatest generation". For starters, they fought and won WWII.

Edit - I was corrected on this. Got my generations slightly wrong. I was thinking of my dad, who liked me joined the paratroopers at 17 1/2. But I think he was born in 1924 - just in time to make the Battle of the Bulge.
My father was born in May of 1926, was drafted out of high school at 18 (1944), before he graduated high school and received a war diploma instead for of a regular diploma. I remember him saying he was sent to Europe to get his ass blown off and that anyone born after May 1926 did not go overseas to fight in WWII. He was 6'4 and placed in the tank Corp 7th Armour Division.

Its weird how some generations lie about their age to get into the service to win a war , Then other generations lie about their gender to win in sports.
Proud to be a slacker!
Generation X = raised on hosewater and neglect.
The best public service anouncement ever:
Its 10 o clock do you know where your kids are?

I was born in July 1964. They say I'm a boomer. But I grew up with GenX. I'm GenX
My wife was also born in July of 64. She's a boomer, I'm a Gen X, born March of 66.

I’m a ‘97 baby which puts me in the earliest Zoomer range. Extremely grateful I can even be here as a new owner (still making payments though so I won’t pretend to fully own it for a few years).

This poll tells far more about the demographics of this user group than it does about owners of Mavericks.
