The Mav replaced a ‘15 Ford Transit Connect van that I got as a booby prize in car musical chairs. Lol. So wife got a new car, I got the Transit Connect, and son needed a dependable vehicle so he got my low mileage ‘00 S10. Drove the Transit Connect van for 1.5 years with hard shifting trans as they are known to have issues. Was time to get rid of it and get something before it went out fully. It had 138,xxx bad trans, needed tires, was going to need brakes, and still got $4000 on trade in. Rep told me that they just stopped making them and they are in such demand is why I got that. If they were still making them I’d have gotten $500. lol.

Van was overall a good vehicle. It was the wife’s pick. I have almost always been a Chevy guy. But over the last few years Chevy really had nothing appealing to me. I’m a mini truck guy, and the Mav is really at this time the only mini truck on the market. Could I afford a Colorado, yes. But I don’t see the reason when the Mav fits my likes so much.

Though as I’ve seen others mention, a longer bed would be great. Maybe an ext cab with a longer bed on the same wheelbase and length overall would be great.

Can see the red Transit Connect at the dealer after being traded in. Behind my second Mav in as many months (separate post for that subject) you can see my 10th S10. I still have a ‘91 S10 about to turn 60,000 miles.

New guy here!

Replaced my 2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport S. Enjoyed it but it was time to down size and I was over taking off the doors and tops. I was also over the gas milage too.

Have had my 2025 Maverick Lariat for a couple weeks now and I absolutely love it!

My '25 XLT Hybrid AWD replaces a void when I retired and turned in a '24 Maverick XL Hybrid fleet car. I tried to get a '24 AWD but finally gave up waiting and got an unclaimed order off my dealer's lot. Hybrid AWD is the best of both worlds, I think. The smooth power of the Hybrid CVT is hard to beat but I really wanted AWD for Michigan winter.

I have a feeling the Maverick is replacing the Transit Connect for some people in some ways. I wonder if the used market for them is taking a hit.

My traverse with 230000 on it. It was a good car in the 10 year I had it. I had been driving my 05 Avalanche until I made the switch but wanted something smaller.

great pic. looks like you found a way to make the small Traverse even smaller.

anyway, i moved on from a 2019 Nissan Rogue hybrid...and now i can never go back to non-hybrid engine.

The hybrid is amazing indeed. I really like the mod-ability with forscan and the not only accessories I can buy but how I can personalize my experience of owning this truck. Also this sounds trivial I know but the back up camera is a so wonderful for me.

Nothing. It's a waste of money to trade in a paid off car. I’ve never gotten close to its value and each time I ask specifically what they will do and everytime they’ve said they’d just crush it. So yeah, my maverick replaced nothing.

I dropped my insurance coverage down and don’t have to pay for rental coverage and it covers maintenance on the toyota.

I replaced my 2010 Toyota highlander, with my 23 Mav lariat. Been great the month or so I've had it. Great mileage getting around and is peppy enough for me to have fun.

I bought my 2022 Maverick XLT two weeks ago. Here it is sitting next to the 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SEL that I traded in.
