What changes to Maverick engineering would you like for the next evolution?

Gadgets, gew-gaws, body shape, electronics, engine systems; anything.

Personally, I'd like the driver height to be another 6" taller (eye level off the road), via increased seat height and accompanying raised interior ceiling height. Mainly to allow a more comfortable "bus driver" sitting posture for long drives, instead of the low-to-the-floor, legs sticking out in front posture used now.

Of COURSE an available 6' minimum bed length via shortened passenger cab that just has front seats and a small space behind them.

Door bottle holders that actually work.

2022-2024 style HVAC buttons. I was really excited about those (I originally ordered a 2024 until 2025 added hybrid AWD). For me, they are close to ideal and a big improvement over the Sienna we have and the Prius v I traded in, so I was sad to see the 2025 lose them. I don't hate the 2025's HVAC "buttons", but I don't like them either.

User controlled presets that STICK !
Permanently turn off that oh so stupid
Stop/start, turn off the oh so senseless seat belt ok screen,
And like the menu behind the steering wheel,
I want to be able to set what drive modes I want. Normal and slippery. Like, nothing to cycle through that I never use.
That’s it.

Sounds like you'd rather have a Ranger. Or a minivan.

And if you think the Maverick is in any way "low to the floor" drive one of those old compact Ranger/S10s. By ditching the frame for a unibody with deeper floor the Maverick is already much more upright seating.

A PHEV version with 30+ miles of electric only range. An end to their AUTO settings every time you turn on the truck. Things like Drive Mode, Lights, HVAC etc... need to have a setting called "LAST STATE" so the owner can decide how to drive the truck instead of an engineer deciding how you will drive the truck 5 years before it is built

YES! That too! #KeepLastState, it's not that hard!

Great example .... I stop the Mav with A/C OFF. I get in the Mav with the HVAC last set to mid/upper-70s, and it's 68F out. The Mav magically determines A/C should be ON. Grrrrr, I swear everytime I get in I have to hit the A/C button. C'mon Ford software engineers, #KeepLastState, it's not that hard!

Bit larger battery in the Hybrid, so running the a/c doesn't result in the ICE kicking in as much. Don't need a PHEV, most owners never plug them in anyway, and with the layout of our house, would be inconvenient. (Garage was turned into a room, and the electrical service is on the opposite end of the house).

Then add the below bed trunk like the Ridgeline and Santa-Cruz, preferably the former as it's more useful, and keeps the spare clean.

More scratch resistant interior.

Beyond that - either offer the advanced PTU/RDU from the Tremor as an additional stand alone option (like you can option a rear locker on a ranger or F150) OR allow us to pair the hybrid drivetrain with the Tremor.

Ideally - I would prefer the ability to add the advanced PTU/RDU to a Lariat Hybrid 4K tow without the Tremor package.

Fix the hole behind drivers rear fender well above the exhaust. Fix the hole in front of rear tires exposing the elements to the rocker area. Fix the cowl drain so leaves and debris don’t end up in lower fender area. Put on hood lift struts instead of prop rod. Tougher interior plastic panels

Add an access panel to the oil filter and add audio channel controls to the steering wheel.

At the price point these trucks have gotten to since the MY22 introduction (imo a steal then - as long as you didn't pay those stupid insane markups happening at the time), it needs a serious upgrade to the whole interior.

I found a way, from Settings on the steering wheel menu, that got it to knock off that kind of behavior. Plusses and minuses on that: the way I have it set now, remote start wouldn't have the thing cooling for me in the parking lot ahead of getting in. Will seek where that setting is kept for you.

Anyhoo...

On hybrids get the 12V out of the cab so there's less safety concerns in having it charge more fully. Then have it charge more fully.

Bluetooth Android/Apple dongle standard

What's been said for holes/gaps around the wheel wells

Attachment points/mechanisms for bed covers by the bulkhead (rear window) for easy water-resistant securing of the cover on this unibody cargo box, with or without SIBL or DIBL

Towhooks standard all trims

Substantial bumpers front/rear

On hybrids, more noticeable propulsion sound at low speeds for pedestrian safety

Quadruple the capacity of the hybrid battery.

Engine option of Fully electric AWD with Range Extender gas engine.
