I'm 68. Bought my 2023 just about 2 years ago. Had a 2018 Ford Explorer that the water pump went out on. It was going to be about $3k for a water pump. Decided to just buy a vehicle. Looked for something that would fit in my garage, got decent gas mileage and that I could pay cash for.

I was 62 when I bought my Maverick last year. But it gets a lot of looks/compliments from younger guys.

I spent many months researching to go from a full size Silverado, prior had a F-150, to a small or mid-sized truck. Ruled out Toyota ans Nissan immediately because the ride and ingress is just as bad as what I had. Narrowed down to Ridgeline (never really card for Honda although being in a couple of their plants before and impressed) and Maverick. Many of the reviews and articles I read said Ford picked the name Maverick not as a nod to the old car but to the target customer demographic. They were targeting the 25 to 35 young environmentally conscious urban or suburban dwellers. I think the buyers are much older. I personally am 66 and the first time I saw one I thought "a 4 door Ranchero finally." Just curious if I am correct in my thinking but most of the drivers I have seen are at least over 40.
THOUGHTS?
I was 60 when I got my first one now have a 2025 after trading in my 2023

Got my 2024 hybrid at 21 years old. I’m a software engineer. Big into mountain biking but wanted good fuel economy in the city so this was the perfect vehicle for me.

I’m 64. Suburban type guy but still active with golf, fishing, hiking. I really like my leftover 24 Lariat.

I’m 75, hubby is 71. We have had our ‘23 Lariat hybrid not quite 18 months. Love it! Fits in our garage, and getting close to 44 mpg.

Hello, 19 y/o with a 24' lariat ecoboost. I really liked the idea of the mavericks when they first came out I was in high school at the time but as soon as I got out I went an bought one, big difference from my 97' diesel f350. But I love the maverick.

Simple...the only reason a bunch of Geezers are buying the Mav is that they are too old to get their leg up in an F-150 or Superduty.....
