Larger tires will affect the amount of miles that show on the odometer. Since the truck is calibrated for 225/65/17 tires and I put larger 235s on, the odometer will show slightly less miles traveled over time. This also means that the mpg shown on the screen should actually be slightly higher.
That’s good to hear. A 2mpg drop on the highway isn’t bad at all. Got the same gas milage as the stock tires on my 15 mile commute to work today (~47mpg) so that’s a good sign. My commute is about half 55mph highway and half city at 35mph so
It will be interesting to see the difference long term.
One thing you have to keep in mind is that the odometer will be slightly under reporting your miles because of the increased tire size. If you aren’t taking that into consideration when doing your calculation, then your miles per gallon is probably actually a little better than that.
Looked at a lot of other tire posts before deciding on these. Found them on Facebook marketplace for a really good deal. Should only be out about 100 bucks total after selling the bronco sport wheels they came on. Just wanted to leave some pics to help others decide in the future. Went with the...
Adding another update to this thread. I removed the cardboard pieces and sprayed a butt ton of this dry lube around the defrost vent on both sides. I sprayed it from every possible angle so much so that it started dripping down onto the floor mat below. The spray evaporates after a couple...
Got my 2024 hybrid at 21 years old. I’m a software engineer. Big into mountain biking but wanted good fuel economy in the city so this was the perfect vehicle for me.
Do you
Do you know if this issue has been fixed on the 2025 MY? I have this issue on my 2024 and it’s incredibly annoying. Will try to get a dealership near me to do the TSB and we will see what happens. I found that shoving pieces of a credit card in between the vent and the IP on the drivers...
Unfortunately the rattle came back after just a couple days but it is a little better than before at least. I was able to slide the cardboard pieces all the way to the middle it just took a lot of force. Incredibly annoying and I’m still trying to find a permanent solution.
My 2024 hybrid xlt is doing this at 15k miles. Violent shutter sometimes when transitioning from ICE to electric mode when decelerating. Transitioning between the 2 modes is never smooth. Can the software fix be applied to 2024 models? Going to contact dealer on Monday.
Found a fix for this exact issue. The noise is coming from the defroster vent hitting another piece of black plastic just underneath the dash on the section closest to the steering wheel. If you shine a light from the outside of the vehicle looking in, you will see that the defroster vent is...
