Picked mine up this week. No hood flutter at all from 60 right on up to 90, which is the fastest I've gone so far. Rock solid looking, actually. Super impressed with this vehicle

The fact that only some people have this issue really lends credence to the idea that its those hood dampers.

And that is the reason. All of this adjustment or adding hose in seal is just applying pressure to a flexible material. It’s a bandaid. There is no structure behind the hood skin where the turbulence occurs.

That is not the reason. We've had several cars with aluminum hoods (including our G70 right now) and none of them have suffered from hood flutter. This is an airflow issue.

Air flow and an unsupported skin where it needs it.

I've got plenty of shake from my hood. 40-60 mph is starts to lift smoothly. Above 60 mph and it's not smooth anymore. I've got the hood air deflector on my truck, so I wonder if that accentuates the matter. Reading from the 2nd post, that was part of the issue with the F-150.

Accumulating the issues before making the trip to the dealer for some warranty repairs. This and the back seat flop are the most annoying issues at this point. The hood shake could eventually become expensive and even dangerous, so it take precedence.

Video of Maverick Hood Above 60mph (sorry it's not cleaner - holding the phone with one hand)
I'm not going to like that rear seat issue!

I test drove a new (at the time) 2018 Honda Accord that had hood flutter. It is probably normal with how new cars are made with lighter material and will be common across brands with time.

Do you have the textured hood deflector?
I never had hood shake till the dealership added that deflector.

This could be the whole problem we all are having cause of it . Was talking to my friend yesterday who is a engineer at Toyota , he stated just cause it says or is oem doesn't mean engineers for both tested it together. He stated lots of oem stuff is produce and not tested with other test .

I just know one person who doesn't have one and has the issues and my test ride in a maverick did it. Confused for sure .
