Anyone think it catches just a little too much wind, was driving this weekend it looked like the hinged part was moving just a little

thanks I'll look for that threadI haven’t noticed on mine, but that is one of the first issues noted on here.
I have noticed that on windy days where a high profile semi truck (box trailer) is coming at you in a crosswind, if I’m too close to the centerline, the left front corner of the hood will flex a bit when hit by the blast of wind. Note to self - move right when driving past high profile vehicles which are at 55 or so mph.Anyone think it catches just a little too much wind, was driving this weekend it looked like the hinged part was moving just a little
what about driving into 30+ winds with gust going higher, that's what I was experiencing, you can't just drive in the other direction you'll never get to where you're going lolI have noticed that on windy days where a high profile semi truck (box trailer) is coming at you in a crosswind, if I’m too close to the centerline, the left front corner of the hood will flex a bit when hit by the blast of wind. People have mentioned adjusting the rubber stops on either side of the radiator helpsAnyone think it catches just a little too much wind, was driving this weekend it looked like the hinged part was moving just a little
Yep, to mfg the Maverick at such a low price point Ford would have had to cut a few corners here and there. Love your idea here though...kills two birds with one stone! When mine comes in next year I'm going to do exactly as you suggestedIts thin metal without enough support. Under hood sound deadening material will help weight it down.
