Tremor CV axle failure

I don’t believe this is a safety concern.

Thankfully, that's for the NHTSA to decide. Failed CV axles can lead to a loss of vehicle control, especially when turning or at high speeds, potentially causing a loss of power or an accident.

This whole CV fiasco is just sad. If this was happening to the Santa Cruz that would not be as surprising. How many years now has Ford been building trucks? You'd think they'd know how to properly engineer a reliable suspension system at this point lol.

Well, it finally happened. almost forty five thousand miles and my front cv, axles has failed.. Took it in for an oil change last week. They said both front axles were leaking and needed to be replaced.
For the last twenty thousand miles and eight months, I have been hearing a popping or clicking noise under harder acceleration from the front but I was told that that's nothing to be concerned.It's normal.. So if anybody is hearing the same thing, have your front axles checked.. As I was told, the tremors have the upgraded cv and shouldn't be prone to the dreaded failure that the others have But apparently that is an inaccurate statement.
Just wanted to put that out there and see if anybody else with a tremor have had this issue or failure of their cv

All CV shafts will fail. But 45k seems a bit better that what others with non Tremors reported. Jury is out on how long the 25's updated half shafts will live.

Are you lifted or stock height?

Stock i don't beat on it. I rarely use it for towing. I drive a hundred miles a day highway

Thank you for responding to those questions.. It's useful information for the rest of us. I'll be curious to see how my own 24 Maverick Lariat AWD, sitting at 25k miles now, does with it's CVs with no lift (purchased 1"f 3/4" r kit, but still have not installed), but slightly larger 245/60 R18 tires (so more rotational mass)

How is this not a safety concern?

I had a Ram that the tailgate would flip back due to the latch mechanism. There was then a recall for that. That is a safety concern due to it being common enough and the possibility of drivers losing their load.

New (relative to within 5 years? 22MY is within that time range) vehicles with CV Axles failing is very concerning.

Considering Ford launched a customer satisfaction program for all 22 Mavericks CVs, not just hybrids, I wonder how accurate that tiny survey is compared to what’s happening in the real world?
