I know I overthink these things, but does it bother anyone else they are putting a class 3 receiver on a class 2 max vehicle (hybrid)?

Saves me the issue of an adapter, but I am just waiting on someone trying to haul 8k with a hybrid.

I did not know you could power a trailer with the vehicle on it and steer with the Prius (that is the only logical explanation for your first photo) wait they could be parked and the trailer is an anti-theft device.

What it looks like tome:
Straps laying loosely on the deck (maybe they were loading/unloading?)
In the passenger side mirror, you can see they are in a driving lane, with vehicles behind them
Class I hitch?
No electrical hookup for trailer lights or brakes
What electrical connector there was appears to have been ground down by the road
Breakaway cable wrapped around the a-frame
Chains sitting on the ground more than hanging
Trailer jack skid on the ground
Is the tongue latch stuck open or missing?
By the look of the position of the tongue, the ball is too small

It looks to me like people do dumb (redacted) because

I like to think such events are rare, but people around here (my location) are awfully fond of starting off a conversation with “hold my beer”

The 2" works best with accessories like bike racks and your lift. I'm glad practicality won out over protecting the stupid from themselves.

I actually don't like that. I've already got my receiver hitch. I bought it in 2006. Didn't use it on my trucks because it was too pretty. Chrome ford hitch with the logo actually built into the drop down. Only one I've ever seen.
