Just had the Works service for my 2025 Tremor. The tires came back with three at 38 psi and one with 34 psi cold.
These readings were in the truck and the APP.
The door plate calls for 35 psi.
Is it wise to over inflate?
I have a Ryobi inflater and a separate gauge and reset all to 35 and believe both to be accurate.
The inflator pressure agrees with the readings in the truck; both now 35.

Depends on what you're trying to accomplish... deflating tires for more traction in loose material is common. Running high may improve MPG at the cost of ride quality and wear. Best to stick with the door panel numbers unless you have a very specific need to adjust them.

IMO over or under inflation both come with a host of issues which is better I haven’t a clue I tend to follow the manufacture’s recommendations and also consider the load ratings that probably comes from being an RVer…

Acceptable range is 25 psi to 50 psi.

Like others have said it is a trade off.
What do you want?

I want higher mpg.
I am never on ice or snow or sand.
I run at 40 psi year-round.
45 psi on the rear when I'm heavy hauling.

My stock tires lasted 45,000 miles and I haul heavy stuff near max capacity 20% of the time.

I run the pressure that gives me even tread wear across my tires. Per my tread depth gage,
35 does this for me in my stock 225 wides.
Every time I go to 235 wides I’ve gotta drop one psi.
Of course if you take lots of fast corners an extra psi or two is a good thing.
34 front, 35 rear increases turn in just a tad.
And if your on the wild side in the switch backs 36 front and 34 rear lets you make mistakes. And lets you point and shoot on corner exits.
A well planted rear end feels nice.

Normal driving is boring:’P

If you are just driving normally on dry roads, the main compromise is ride quality (lower pressure) vs handling (higher pressure). Specific conditions can benefit from varied pressures, if you have the ability to adjust on the fly, and understand the process. If you just want the best all-around pressure, and don't wish to mess with it, that's what the tire pressure label on your car is for....set it, & forget it. But don't forget, every 10 degree change of ambient temps result in 1 psi of tire pressure change.

I like 38PSI
I have the same tires, (second set, put 60K on the first set, great tires!) I've been running 32 for "normal" driving.

Really?
For a 235/65R17 tire moving from 32 PSI (often the standard "comfort" recommendation) to 38 PSI shifts the balance toward efficiency and handling.
By increasing the pressure, the tire becomes "rounder" and harder. This reduces the amount of energy lost to heat and friction as the tire rotates. You might see a 1-3% bump in MPG.

Really. FE & handling are not my priorities. 😉

I set mine to 35psi in the spring. They fluctuate between 40 and 30 psi depending on ambient temperature. I find it perfect. 40 in summer heat (highway/ashphalt) and 30 in winter (snow/ice).

I suggest you find your sweet spot and forget about it.
