  1. Has anyone tried those LiFePO4 batteries sold at Amazon?

I've also put a lithium pack in my Vulcan 750, but the BMS is built into the battery and the charge is by a very dumb stator/regulator/rectifier on the motorcycle. I'm not sure how double BMS systems would interact in the Maverick. I've had zero problems with my AGM, but it'd be nice to see OEM...
  2. Theft attemp, can Lariat be hacked without key

4 young kids is the best theft deterrent possible 😆
  3. XLT seats vs Lariat leather seats?

The "cloth" of most vehicles are synthetic plastics too, typically polyester. The "Active-X" material would be great if it were just ventilated. Actively cooled would be even better. It's easier to clean up messes on the Active-X seats, properly cleaning cloth takes a bristle brush...
  4. Simple B&O upgrade and sub solution.

OPs choice is not a better option. I went out and found the highest efficiency (103db) aftermarket 6x9" I could and it wasn't a meaningful improvement over the stock sub. What Ford put in there is actually extremely well suited to its purpose. You are better off adding a second compact sub to...
  5. Operational cost: Gas EcoBoost vs. Hybrid -- The REAL Break-Even Mileage

The interwebs are suggesting that the 2025 Hybrid and Ecoboosts both have about 0.42G peak off the line acceleration. The Ecoboost is definitely a more powerful passer than the hybrid though. I think there is a still a lack of properly conducted test runs of both vehicles to really pin down numbers.
  6. Operational cost: Gas EcoBoost vs. Hybrid -- The REAL Break-Even Mileage

The 2025+ hybrid definitely more than holds its own off the line. Ford doesn't seem to have optimized for rolling starts though as the butt dyno says they're much less assertive (though still MORE than adequate) than launching from a stop. I'm wondering if it's just the nature of the beast or if...
  7. Operational cost: Gas EcoBoost vs. Hybrid -- The REAL Break-Even Mileage

All wheel drive and a more powerful electric motor/transmission.
  8. How many watts are the 2025 USB C ports?

I get super fast charging off of the rear ports and someone else reported 2025+ all having that. Just run a USB cable from the rear console to the front.
  9. Never Again Ford! 2022 Maverick needs a new transmission

    That's one way to turn a $30,000 vehicle into a $40,000 one 😄
  10. Another reason for loving my back window

I like the freedom of view of a contiguous rear glass, but I also like the utility of having the window... which I've used to haul 12' PVC trim. I just closed the window on it to cinch it in.
  11. 2026 maverick hybrid AWD with 2K tow package adding a override switch for cooling fan for mountainous towing (needed)??

    We'll introduce him to @Ranko Kohime https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/1-year-130k-mile-review-from-a-heavy-hauler.84535/
  12. 2026 maverick hybrid AWD with 2K tow package adding a override switch for cooling fan for mountainous towing (needed)??

Sure, but our Mavericks also meet the SAE J2807 spec which means maintaining a steep climb at 100F ambient with max A/C in Arizona. I'm curious if the OP feels he's going to be exceeding that in Missouri?
  13. 2026 maverick hybrid AWD with 2K tow package adding a override switch for cooling fan for mountainous towing (needed)??

Our hybrids are Atkinson-cycle power-strokes which naturally run cool. Quothe Wikipedia:
  14. Pennsylvania 19" Lariat tires GoodYear Wrangler Territory HT set of 4 - $75/ea OBO pickup-only (South Central PA)

I replaced my stock 2025 Lariat 19" BAP tires with Michelin Crossclimates and don't need the stocks sitting around. If you want them and can pick up from the greater Harrisburg area DM me. They have about 3,000 miles on them, removed by a Costco tire shop.
  15. To me the most difficult part of the truck is the Dashboard.

You can coast with the engine off and no EV propulsion with the hybrid. It happens every time you are in regen and moving (coasting to a stop, downhill driving). That's how you have more miles than ICE + EV combined.
  16. To me the most difficult part of the truck is the Dashboard.

Electric miles is how many miles driven on battery power. If you are in hybrid mode on 25% electric propulsion and drive one mile you have ¼ mile on electric and ¾ mile on gas. EZ PZ. Most audio and drive controls are available on the steering wheel. There is a voice control button as well that...
  17. driving my Hybrid in 'L' saves on gas?

You want to be on battery power as much as possible. All that the drive modes (ECO, LOW, etc) do is just adjust some parameters (gas pedal less responsive, aggressive regen) to make it a little easier for that to happen. Any mileage obtainable by using LOW or ECO is attainable in the NORMAL mode...
  18. Prospective Buyer - Questions on Trims?

The Lariats have a high quality vinyl called 'active-x' for the seats. Otherwise the seats are fabric, most people find them comfortable. The tonneau cover is a BAK rebrand and the spray liner was extremely high quality in mine. The Ford builder should show what options are available per trim...
