I fill my Maverick to 35 PSI for all 4 tires, but the Ford App has this... so it is either off on my gauge or the Ford's TPMS/App, and only off by 1/2 PSI, no biggie.

The proper way to check tire pressure is the same as a basketball. Remove the wheel, fill tire with air until it bounces slightly higher than you waist when dropped from waist height. that should give you good dribbling effect when going over speed bumps.
Seriously checking air psi and worrying about a 1 or 2 lb. difference in readings is futile. If you want it to be exact use nitrogen. Air PSI changes based on if 1 side is in the shade and the other in the sun.
I am anal about TP and learned one side exposed to sun v. other side in shade will show a difference. So I check pressure first thing in the a.m. after truck has been sitting all night. I have seen a 3 lb difference sunny side v. shady side.

In the garage this morning. Four of a kind.👍
Tire air pressure Nirvana 😊 using my 'set it and forget it', Stanley FatMax air compressor / jump starter.

Yes I want 34 psi when it's over 100° outside. It ends up being over 35 psi anyway.

This seems like reverse Polish notation.

Don't you want it 36 psi at 87°F so it will be "only" 34 psi at 67°F?

I mean; you will hit 67°F eventually, won't you? You'll be at 32 psi in your case.

🤷🏻‍♂️

I think he’s right. Mine cold in the morning are 35 rear and 36 front. After driving a while in this heat, this is what they look like. Stock Pirellis.

I think he’s right means 34 cold, it ends up over 35 while driving in this heat lately☀

Of course the pressure goes up as temperature goes up. Exactly what I said above.

The tires are allowed to go to ~50 psi hot. There's a lot of room at the high end. There's room on the low end too.

And everyone has their own preferences. I'm a big proponent of there is no one right way to do this.

Just thought it was "weird" how it was phrased. But 1 psi is a small adjustment. But the logic of "I lowered my tire pressure because it's 100°F here" seemed unnecessary at least.

A) manufactures state "do not let air out of hot tires"

B) set to 35 psi in your coldest expected conditions. So this will vary by location.

Plus while "firmer" tires are less effective on snow and ice, snow and ice seems out of the question in Glen's case.
😎

My personal preference is: set to 35 at my coldest (40°F) and enjoy the gas savings in summer. 😎

Inflated my tires Tue night to 40, just to test.
1/2 mile to station, not driven all day, not in sun for probably 1 hr. Tad hot out though.
Not driven yesterday (ooooh battery not happy!).
Rushed both Wed & this morning, where I would have normally confirmed or dropped some air back to 40 if high enough.
So I forgot.
And forgot while I drove my regular route.
And until this post forgot I did it.
Nothing about the drive caught my attention as being different. Pretty smooth route though in the scheme of things.
Sitting in shade after the drive in - last uploaded figure was 40 upon parking as now displayed in Fordpass.

So morning was probably closer to 37/38 cold.

I set my pressure in the morning (if possible) before the heat/sun of the day. I see mid 90s to 100+ during summer.
So if its ~70*F and I set to 35-36 psi.
They are into the 37-39 range by the time they sit in the Sun and heat soak during the day, and during operation.
Following the rule that they are likely better off a slight bit higher pressure than lower, for tire wear reasons.

Ofc I then re-adjust the minimum/morning temp as Winter temps approach.

I run 41-42 psi "cold" ie sitting in the garage. After driving they come up 2-4 psi depending on OAT. I normally will check as temps fluctuate so come fall and then winter I will adjust as average temps drop.

This morning after airing up the tires in the garage.
Because of the desert heat I set the pressure at 34 psi.

Here are the tire pressures after 1 hour setting outside of the garage at 100°
All I did was back it out of the garage and drive to the end of the block and back to make sure that tire pressure sensors reset.
As you can tell the driver side in the front was in the sun. Passenger side rear was still shaded.
