Think Ive lost the excitment.

After 8 months Of no word on schedule, Ive lost the excitment of my Oct 2nd order of the rapid red, FE, AWD. I looked at a 2020 Ranger Lariat with 16,000 miles and for the same price as the Maverick. I think the excitement is back and will jump ship?

I ordered at the end of october and the excitement is definitely gone. I will grind it out though - it still suits my needs better than anything else. Hopefully there will be an excitement bump when it's finally delivered.

In the mean time I am scratching the itch with an old explorer that's keeping me busy wrenching. Funny thing is. after driving that for the last 2 months I think I really like a bigger, more comfortable vehicle.

I ordered in November. CG Lariat EB, no lux, with 360. I was doing pretty well but did get excited on Apr 14th when I received a build week of 23 May. Since then, I have been moved back three times and am now on June 21st. I am finding the build date moving back is more demoralizing than the previous just waiting. Now I am seeing production dates getting dragged out and delivery taking longer than ever. Ford said they were not going to send out any emails until the build was confirmed. We all bitched about that, but I think they perhaps they should have stuck with that. No news vs bad news? I know, at least I have a build date so why am I whining? Human nature and it really does suck..... and there is more to come!!! Excitement continues to decrease.

I bought a Ford Edge after waiting nine months. Now the truck, a fully loaded Lariat hybrid, has been shipped. My daughter will probably take it. I am now thinking Mustang Mach E. But you can’t even order one now. Who knows when I could actually get one.

The Maverick is the perfect vehicle for me, and I also ordered in early October. The Ranger is not a consideration - entirely different.

I spent a month/2,000 miles with an XL EB and it confirmed it for me.. the Maverick is worth the wait. What a great vehicle to drive.

Ordered mine on September 9, 2021 and mine arrived on March 30, 2022. I never got any word on it, and was willing to wait over a year. It just… Arrived. I was surprised.

Love it more now than when it first got here. Great vehicle.
