Tell me about using your AGM battery

I do put AGM in when I research the battery but again it comes out....will not fit....

Then look up AGM batteries, scroll down to where it gives you the dimensions and if the dimensions are within your battery it will fit. Did you put "AGM battery Install" in the search bar here in MaverickTruckclub? There are dozens of battery suggestions that will work for you.

No product website is going to give the correct size of an AGM battery because the truck isn't tagged to have that.

Look at the bottom of this page now and the 1st Similar thread is the one you want.
Not all the batteries shown in there are drop in ready - but several are.
Just pay attention.

I have a 2023 Maverick Lariat Hybrid that I recently bought that has 15k on it. It has original motor craft battery. I have been getting battery saver mode when I don’t drive for a couple days. I just reset BSM and it went off. Just wondering if anybody replaced standard battery with agm and problems then resolved for good. Standard replacement battery vs agm. What are your experiences? Thank you in advance

Just FYI and in case someone else thinks this is a good idea.

You just told the system by that reset - this is a full battery, and it's full capacity.

So of course any alerts or actions due to thinking it's reduced battery capacity went off - it thinks it's full now.

But those actions were showing that's not that case.

So now you have the easy potential of truck NOT doing Sleep mode when it's actually needed - and then not having enough battery left to start the truck.
Which is the whole purpose of sleep mode.

Recommend you post haste charge it up to full, reset again, then follow manual and let it sit locked overnight to relearn.

I am having trouble finding the right agm battery , as size seems to be the problem....can you guys give me some exact battery maker and the battery numbers that will fit....delco , Walmart and others....when I put * 2023 hybrid maverick * in they keep saying * will not fit * ty

I also would advise that you remove the plastic surrounding the battery area before removing the old battery. It is soooo much easier to install it.

I just replaced my hybrid battery yesterday. How would you even get to the bolt on the little bracket the holds the battery down without removing the plastic? It would be impossible.

Here is my swap out, went with optima yellow top DH5. Slightly wider, no issues as the side tabs can be bent down or cut off.

I was able to swap the battery out without removing the plastic by using an extension and magnetic socket. It's definitely possible if you have the tools mentioned. If you dont have an extension and magnetic socket, then yes, best route is to remove the plastic.
