Is there a sensor that shows the tailgate is down? I don't think there is and one time almost drove off with it still down. Now, I make sure. Would be good to have a light like a trunk open light on regular cars?

We almost did this the other day with a full load of pumpkins. I noticed the tailgate was down on the backup camera, otherwise they would have rolled out on the way home!Is there a sensor that shows the tailgate is down? Yeah that was me in paddle board gear. I didn’t have to reverse so buddies honked and reminded me. I have to dumb ass proof it by checking each time and thought, a simple sensor would be nice. If a car has a trunk lid sensor, a truck can have tailgate one. It’s kind of like purists who don’t want cup holders on a motorcycle and yet, it comes in handyWe almost did this the other day with a full load of pumpkins. I wish there is because I did drive one time with it open (forgot to close)and lost a plastic bucket I had left while driving. Is there a sensor that shows the tailgate is down?
