You play the dunce part so well, when you need to. Maybe why Hyundai did not sue you for defamation.
Provide the link.

Yet, I being a patron and veteran, need to report you to Homeland Security for being a

Look it up mickey, like you did the false, deceptive one on the Hyundai. And no, I not going to cut your steak up for you.
I tried to look it up. I looked at both the online manual and the pdf of the print manual. I could not find the first image you provided.

So I'm asking you to provide the link. You claim you found it there, simply prove it.

Also, I don't know what weird draft you were posting with that first sentence -- but what? 😆

The warning said right above it. "Including occupants and cargo." You really could not believe that a Maverick with towing capacity of 4,000 pounds and payload capacity of 1,500 lbs. would be so much more than Hyundai with 5,000 tow capacity and a payload of only "660lbs". No one is spreading misinformation on the Maverick. I too was shopping trucks. I was never able to see a Maverick on dealers lots when i was shopping ( because of covid 19 and the chip shortage ). That is what brought me to the Maverick forum, to see what I missed. And I live right here in Ford country, just out side of Detroit.
This is copy and paste from the Hyundai web site for the 2022 SC (which I own)

Well that is a "pisser" of sorts, though it does not concern me with my lifestyle / ownership. The "Self leveling" back end is a huge benefit.

Ford Maverick Santa Cruz, really??? 1678125474601

This is a bit disappointing to discover, so many months after ownership. But it does not affect my use of this vehicle: periodic shopping at big box stores, possibly moving some furniture. I doubt I will hit that limit! No concrete, plywood, sheet rock or heavier items will get hauled by me.

Just interested in knowing how many of you would REALLY consider the Santa Cruz as an alternative to the Maverick....Personally, I was waiting for the new Nissan Frontier when I saw the Maverick release...
If I don't get a Maverick by the end of this year, I'm going to get the Colorado. The one I priced out is only ~5K more than my Maverick order and it's obviously more truck too. I checked out the Frontier at the Cleveland Auto Show and it looked like another good alternative too.

The new Colorado is getting great reviews. And there are all-new Ranger and Tacoma coming this year too. Alas no two door Colorado - so far.

I'm here for the hybrid, so the SC is not for me. However, if I were looking at the turbo alternative, the dual fuel injection of the SC would be of significance to me. My past vehicles this is replacing have all gone as high as 281k with no significant maintenance procedures. With both port and direct fuel injection, the SC has one upped the smaller Ford four cylinder engines. You no longer have to worry about the dreaded intake valve carbon build up. Mind you, I don't even accept the earlier timing belt replacement requirement designs of the past.

Ford Maverick Manual, page 255. This could be due to all of the rollover death accidents of Fords. Also, I have not found on the Maverick, if it has the " Death Wobble". On another note. The Hyundai Santa Cruz has a serious chrome plating problem.

Got it. Found it.

Those are clearly marked as example labels and not real information for the truck.

Versus the 661 lb warning which is explicitly about the bed capacity on the Santa Cruz in context.

Which makes it a really weird example for you to pull up.

That is the oddity and elusiveness of it. Ford knows them, yet does not post them in the manual.
Because the limits are different on every configuration depending on the options?

Have you never looked at truck stickers?

No. This is my first truck. For safety reasons I am searching the web for figures on these trucks. If 660 lbs. is the limit in the bed of the Santa Cruz, then I do not want to go over.
If you are only interested in the Santa Cruz and not other trucks, why are you spending so much time on a Ford Maverick forum.

Go enjoy your truck and leave us alone.

Parked next to a Santa Cruz at post office last week-styling not my taste, but old lady driving it seemed happy.

That number is what is left after you put the maximum number of passengers (5) in the truck at 150 lbs each in other words 1411 lbs total. Take the passengers out and the carry weight increases accordingly. Not real hard to figure out. Already been two truck testing guys with Youtube Channels who loaded the truck up and had no issue hauling that kind of weight. One guy had four decent sized guys in the cab and 900 pounds of hay bales in the bed while another tester had 1800 pounds in the bed and he was a big guy in the cab with no issues driving in Colorado with the SEL. AWD and he said the rear levelling worked great.

That's not what that says. And Hyundai put it in the 2023 manual too.

And just because a truck can do it once doesn't mean it's designed to do it repeatedly. Hyundai's literature says you shouldn't put more than 661 lbs in the bed, and they could have corrected it for 2023 (they even modified the language to be clear the cargo area is the bed).
