Two years in-I get 33mpg in summer w/ 87 octane, 10% ethanol gas. With snow tires in winter, drops to 31. Mixed rural/suburban driving, little to no highway. Have gotten 35 mpg on longer, mostly highway trips, long as I keep it around 70mph.
No, never. My xl 2.0 EB only has turbo kick in when I stomp on the gas, e.g. passing semis on freeway when they struggle on upgrades, or similar. Plenty of acceleration for normal driving conditions w/ rpm's in 2000-2200 range, and turbo hasn't kicked in until 2400rpm or higher. I drive...
Agree about look of black bug deflector on silver hood- did same on my XL. Also wanted protection for "soft paint" on leading edge of hood, since prior trucks I've owned have acquired chips on that
location. I live kind of rural, county sometimes "chip and seals" rural side roads rather than...
Steelies look just fine on my Iconic Silver XL-might feel different if truck was different color, but I only have the one Mav. so far, so no worries. As XL implies, my preference tends to run to the basic, functional.
Jeff- just looked back at your original post, see you also have a '59 MGA. I had a '58 for about 20 years. A great little roadster, miss it in summertime.
Marilla,NY here. Got my XL eb last November, from Delacy Ford in Elma. About 9000 miles so far,
about to put snows on again. Maybe see you at the corn festival next summer! Go Bills!
Bought my 2'0 EB off dealer lot 11/19/21. 8000 miles in, loving the truck. Averaging 32 mpg with mix of rural/suburban driving. Own small farm, small truck fine for me-hauling hay, firewood, supplies. Driving more miles than usual, with several mid-distance trips for family...
Thanks for the update! I've had my Iconic Silver XL 2.0EB since 11/21-call him Ike. Retired also, but drive a few more miles than you do. About 7700 miles on odometer now, and still very happy with my little truck. Not an audiophile, but use Spotify on my smartphone for tunes, old country mix-...
