If it’s salty water I hope your insurance company totals it and give you the replacement value for it. On the lighter side and if they total it…what kind of floor mats you have there 🙂 I can’t get the the floor mats I want (back order)!!

Did that water get any higher that what it shows? It don't look that bad for the electronics in the dash or engine bay. Even your door speakers are above that water line. Your tail lights should work as well.

You really need to get a shop vac and get that water out now followed by a steam cleaner to suck out deep moisture. Open doors and start blowing a fan across the floorboards to help dry it out. If the rain is all gone park it outside in the sun, too, with doors/windows open! Mold and mildew are your enemy now!

Really hope it ain't totalled!
During Sandy I totaled more cars than I can count on south shore of NY, the general rule is once the vehicle had water inside the vehicle it was totaled and sold for salvage. Some insurance company's required the water to be cup holder high and we disagreed once the harness is under water that vehicle will never be the same, the Maverick harness is exposed and attached to floor pan on the bottom exposed. Every vehicle I argued should be total was months later for electrical problems. Some insurance company's will never learn. If you own a Maverick never drive through deep water especially Salt water !!!!! check out some of the oil change video's on the Tube the harness is attached to the bottom of the vehicle.

I wonder why Ford put that harness there when they know their buyers are gonna likely take those AWD vehicles off the beaten path and likely thru water crossings! Don't they have some sort of weatherproof capability? Or is it the fact that they "sit" still in the flood waters for so long that causes them to be salvage rated?

Am sure all the connections are watertight but not when submerged in water, your going to have corrosion at all the connections and it wont be covered under warranty. Am going to avoid water at all costs with my new truck.

Seems like a number of folks have never been in a hurricane.

Yeah - drive out of the state. You and 2 million other people. The roads are at a standstill. Gas stations run out of gas. No hotels to be found.

You either leave the state a week before - which costs a lot of money, hunker down, or try to time it and drive out the day of.

I recall when I was in 8th grade one student actually has a superbird. Guy was tike 18 in 8th grade. Very strange.
Was his name 'Booger"? I went to school with a guy like that, when I was a freshman he was a sophomore & when I was a senior he was a junior, all he had was an old van, we could get him to buy beer for us though. I saw that picture of the upside down superbird, aren't those things worth like a 1/4 million dollars? I would think you would take that vehicle & get out of town, unless he wanted the insurance money instead.

His name was Sergio. Probably 17 in 8th grade. They are worth a fortune. Not sure how he got it.

He was probably in 9th grade a recent Grad from 8th grade. But was alot older than everyone else. Maybe it was his dad's or something
But I remember him driving up a blue superbird. At the time I knew of the Daytona Charger but not the Plymouth version. Last time I ever saw him.

He never said if he was in an evacuation zone or not. My house flooded and I'm not even in a flood zone

And the majority of times it turns out to be overblown. Most aren't Katrina, Harvey, Sandy, Ian. And when you live in hurricane prone areas you can't leave every time it's possible. Easy to say people shouldn't stay but harder to actually work out.

I'm retired and a friend that worked for a Auto Leasing Company had thousands of leased cars in NJ and NY that were flooded. Hire me and 30+ other people to deliver hundreds of new cars. Water logged cars were quickly deemed unsafe to keep. Learned that most all new cars interiors and electronics are glued together and no matter what. Hidden mold is also a major reason. Flooded cars will have to be eventually TOTALED, or shipped to some 3rd world country.
