Exactly. Poor engineering brings about poor results. Not 100% correct. Did not drive mine for 8 days and it was completely dead. Could not even unlock the doors anymore. You might get lucky you might not![]()

You may well know, but the truck will still go into deep sleep on the 14th day even if the battery is on a trickle charger due to a built-in time limit. We recently traveled abroad for 14 days, got the deep sleep notice, but upon return my garaged 2024 hybrid Lariat started right up. We are loosely planning a month long getaway next March. I have a trickle charger and will probably use it and/or buy a jump pack, which I probably should have anyway. I also have AAA. Not worried.
I disconnect the battery negative cable. Doing it tomorrow in fact.Hi everyone!
I have a 2025 Hybrid with ~2500 miles, and I have loved driving it so far. I drive nearly every day, but I'm upcoming on a family vacation ...
My first '22 Hybrid Maverick set for 5 weeks.Went into deep sleep 1st week, came home after 5 weeks turned key and no noise no nothing.Well long story longer I had not had it long and forgot it was a Hybrid. It was running just in battery mode ha!Hi everyone!
I have a 2025 Hybrid with ~2500 miles, and I have loved driving it so far. I drive nearly every day, but I'm upcoming on a family vacation where I will have to leave my Maverick for nine days without it being driven. I figure that it's going to hit deep sleep mode, but is there anything that I should do to prepare to minimize the impact of deep sleep? For example, should I try to charge it up before leaving? Should I be getting a jumper battery for when I return? I'm trying to be as prepared as possible.
The remote start idea is a great one - unless you park in a garage. But would then hook up a battery tender. Will try this option the next time it is being parked for a longer period of time.I decided to remote start it once while I was out of town as a preventive measure, and I had no issues upon my return (No deep sleep notification in FordPass app). The truck sat for ~9.5 days from a Friday evening through this Monday morning.
If we had wanted a plug in car we would have bought one. Also, it would be just lovely if deep sleep only occurred after 14 days, but what alternative universe would that be in?My truck is at 44 days and counting in storage while on a trickle charger. I have fired it up 3 times to slightly charge the HVB and to reset the 'days not started' counter built into the Ford App (deep sleep sets in after 2 weeks).
A trickle charger gets my vote! The truck is not having any issues other than tempting me to take it for a drive...
My truck is not on the trickle charger because of the battery. I have a fairly new AGM that would normally suffice if the truck could be driven. It is on the trickle charger because I had a stroke and have lost some of my sight. The Doctor’s have told me not to drive unless I get enough of my sight back so the truck sits in storage while we wait. My post was just to point out if you need to store it for a long time a trickle charger is a good option! If we had wanted a plug in car we would have bought one.
