Once again missing my Lane centering and blind spot monitoring. It will not work even when only a luggage carrier is attached. As soon as you plug anything into the truck tow plug those go away.So let me get this straight. So someone disabled has a wheelchair carrier, paid for the extra safety of...
No biggie to take on and off 23 lbs.6 cam buckles hook into the existing bed tie downs in bed.I bought 2 extra cleats for the management system that comes with some models but could just rig something up that mounts to existing holes if you don't have that.I have room to store it so I keep it...
Cool, not too busy here now.Having a blast.Valley of the Gods in a must see(we went 2 years ago)a lot of movies filmed our there. One of my sons favorite places to camp and we went in a 2wd Santa Fe.Made it no problems
36 x 44 cheap Amazon basket, Vevor awnings (bought a tent and screen room to attach from Amazon)and just used Cam buckles through the Flated D Rings.Tested over 2500 miles now up to 90 mph also have a basket bag 4 chairs and luggage in bag.About 120# total up there zero noise or issues!
23 mpg but 1300 # cargo roof rack,bag,2 awnings ,and the back carrier,80 mph.but on trails uses literally no gas went 3 hours in Canyonland and still showed same miles till empty
No damage only been here two days(Moab) Several 4X4 high clearance vehicles only signs.Carrier on rear is tricky on some deep washouts but no damage anywhere.
2450 empty 3400 loaded.Came with the cheap Harbor Freight DH.Works fine they are all to heavy.Don't know why someone hasn't come up with a reasonable priced under 5 k Distribution Hitch but mine works fine with just sway control no bars!
Mirrors do help but I found you can also set rear camera while driving so you can see around trailer. At least on the Lariat not sure about other models.Next time I tow I will post pic and how to set it.Somehow it shrinks the width of the truck to allow to see down both sides of trailer while in...
Went from close to 40 mpg to 13.9 on 1200 mile trip with a travel trailer.Weight was 3400 loaded the gas mileage drop is the parachute effect from trailer not the weight.
Gonna be out there Nov-Dec. not worried in the least.Hexk these trucks have as much HP as a 77 Trans Am and could accelerate as much as I wanted up those "Tennessee Hills" as you quoted. You do you,I do me and good luck in your ventures!
No Issues with about the same specs trailer.no power or climbing issues.Only downside after going from Florida through the Tenn.Mountains gas mileage went from 39.7 without trailer to 13.7
I did that kinda engineering about 30 years ago on my late 20's early 30's.One time flipped a riding mower on top of me when board popped off tailgate.was not pretty gas allover me and back all f###ed up,coulda been worse. Not trying to be a smartass but I would definitely get a low profile bed...
