Hi everyone!

I have a 2025 Hybrid with ~2500 miles, and I have loved driving it so far. I drive nearly every day, but I'm upcoming on a family vacation where I will have to leave my Maverick for nine days without it being driven. I figure that it's going to hit deep sleep mode, but is there anything that I should do to prepare to minimize the impact of deep sleep? For example, should I try to charge it up before leaving? Should I be getting a jumper battery for when I return? I'm trying to be as prepared as possible.

A battery tender if you are really concerned. Even when mine would do the deep sleep thing, it would never fail to start, it just disables non essential items. The system as it is defies explanation, like no dome light or dash even when sitting on a tender, but that is a different matter. Just my $.02

For only 9 days you don't need to do anything.

If you are really worried about the 12v battery drain issue, you could use a tender, but I personally wouldn't since any normal car should be able to handle that amount of time.

Its a new 2025. Park it and leave it. Enjoy your vacation. The sleep message means the truck has noticed you haven't driven it lately, so its just going to do a comlete shutdown. Nothing to worry about. Plus, your truck should have come with an AGM battery.

Mine didn't and completely killed to flooded batteries within the first 6 months I owned the truck. Bought my own AGM battery 13 months ago. No more dead battery. I do get the occasional "sleep" message, but Ford has a battery drain update that I will eventually get done. Hope this helps!

If it lives outside , get a cheap solar charger , lay it on the windshield , and attach to the jump contacts under the hood .
I've left mine for weeks at a time this way while we road trip in our RV .
Never a issue in over 30 months .
Still using the original battery .

Ditto here. I've had numerous deep sleep notifications but it always started. That being said, she's only sat for 3-4 at once. I personally always carry a jump starter/air compressor but that's not just because I drive a maverick, it's because I drive. I'd have it in any vehicle, new or used.

Impact of deep sleep?
Misunderstanding on that.

Deep sleep disables the modem - that's it.
But that takes 14 days of non-starting. Or a bad drop in voltage.
One point a poster discovered - don't turn it off last time with AC running.
I'd suggest turn off ALL systems before your final turnoff.

Impact is on you not being able to remotely check on your vehicle if it does go into deep sleep to preserve the battery.
To lessen that impact - park it somewhere safe, have someone check on it.

My 24 (with an 12V AGM) sat for 8 days while I was hospitalized and the SoC was 47% and the voltage was at 12.27V when I put it on the trickle charger. The truck still went into deep sleep on the 14th day as scheduled before I fired it up just to reset it and let it run until it shut off on its own. It is still on the charger while I wait to see if I get to drive again.

A 25 should do fine for your vacation!

Not 100% correct. Did not drive mine for 8 days and it was completely dead. Could not even unlock the doors anymore. You might get lucky you might not

I would just put a battery tender on it and forget it. Or as someone else stated you could pull the battery cables off the terminal, but I don't know how that affects the BMS and all that other gadgetry they have going on.

I’ve left mine 2 weeks at a time with no issues.

If the battery issue happens I’d want to know about it asap so I can take it to Ford and have the lengthy process of fixing it start sooner rather than later.

they tend to spend longer than that on hold, whether at the factory, the train yard, the dealer . . .

So you'll need a 20ft seacan (don't forget to poke airholes) and 4 or 5 bales of cotton waste... ... ...

The remote ability to check on the status is where our vehicle is was a major selling point for us. The deep sleep fault (it's not a feature people!) takes away that ability. This was never mentioned as even a possibility. Ford needs to fix this.
