The system should be smart enough to know if there is incoming or outgoing current - it can't get a good reading on the voltage - not accurate figure.
Therefore failsafe would be battery saver, just in case it's actually low.
It's why the BMS Relearn info says some electronics will be disabled...
I find that my hybrid which sleeps for the winter, connected to a battery maintainer, will not turn the dome lights on after a few days of inactivity. No battery saver mode indicated on the Ford app. Green light indicating full charge on the maintainer but no dome or dash lights. I didn't check...
I just got my third battery on my 23 hybrid. Only 13,300k miles as this is a summer only vehicle. It just went into storage and is on a Noco maintainer during its sleep and always has been. I concur that the voltage while running looks deceptively like normal charging. This last one was just...
Some truth about the battery boost so I am surprised no one has added a light boost turbo to a hybrid. Maybe five psi from a rear mount type. Not a great fan of that style but they do work. Just a thought
My 1977 Yamaha street bike had bucket shims. A non issue IMHO. Many possibilities exist in all things in life so choose your worries, or battles, as you see fit and move on.
I don't have enough miles on my Maverick to get a wear pattern but I do have a couple other vehicles with some form of traction or stability control, and both of them exhibit faster rear brake wear than my older generation stuff. My Subaru is particularly noticeable. The rear brakes may be used...
A battery tender if you are really concerned. Even when mine would do the deep sleep thing, it would never fail to start, it just disables non essential items. The system as it is defies explanation, like no dome light or dash even when sitting on a tender, but that is a different matter. Just...
I understand it does nothing from a functional standpoint, aside from possibly creating a small storage space like the cubby but arranged vertically in the console. I greatly appreciate the photos of the shifter. The cubby next to the screen is a pretty obvious placeholder for something larger...
I know this is sort of water over the dam as of 2025, but is it possible 0n the '22-'24 models to relocate the transmission shifter from the console to somewhere else, such as higher on the dash next to the center screen? More specifically, move the screen to the right to eliminate the cubby and...
I have the Ford installed one and there is a bit of clumsiness to it but It stores what I call my vehicle gun and my carry gun when needed. I noticed in the photos that the aftermarket door opening appeared as more rectangular in the initial photo but a virtual clone of the OE further along in...
Yup, you are correct. I had to look at the spec sheets and the Luxury package contained more in '22 than '23 when they split stuff up. I ordered a '22 in the fall of '21 and received the '23 in June of '23
I amended my post, I added the word potential before the stated mileage hit. I do not have chapter and verse on the effect of wheel size although I have seen the effect on acceleration from the drag strip. A simple Google query about the effect of wheel size returns lots of information about the...
Matter of choice or opinion of course, and if your '23 is missing some of the items listed as a plus due to Covid issues, it makes it tilt toward the '25 more than it should. Spray in bedliner and adaptive cruise were part of the original Lariat package but they did change or were owner deleted...
These threads generally go nowhere, since it is made up of opinions. If you pay attention to lots of the videos that are everywhere online, bearing clearances are only part of the equation. Many posts about small passages, cam phasers and other oil dependent items on a modern engine that fail...
I don't know your driving conditions or any other details but cold weather requires the engine to run more than the actual hybrid electric requirements so it does hurt mileage. I experienced the same with my fwd hybrid. It sounds normal to me.
Weight is certainly a factor regarding mileage, but distribution of the weight is also a factor. I don't have specific examples to quote, but as the mass moves outward, primarily the rim in this case, resistance to change in rotational speed also increases. It probably also carries a bit more...
It likely works the same as yours but I would guess my driving pattern is different? Based on what I have read on the forum, I have tried the various modes and while it is a close call between ECO and SLIPPERY, I do better mileage in ECO. Much of my driving is a mix of urban and two lane...
I don't know who 'most users' are but I have used low for braking and regen as long as I have had the Mav, (2023). I turn it on and off and rarely drive in low. I do pay attention to who is behind me and there are times it may not be appropriate, but minimizing the regeneration kind of defeats...
I don't know the present situation but you should ask the dealership for clarification. I paid a lot more (~$3,450) than what the price was when I ordered it, or more correctly, I took over an existing order a customer backed out on in Nov of 2021. I found I had no price protection at all right...
