23 xlt lux cp360 delivered February 2023 with 12,000 trouble free miles

Averaging @42mpg on bridgestone weatherpeak tires

Annoyed at not being able to lock in at least eco mode. And wish AWD had been an option but overall a great vehicle with nothing else comparable.

22 Hybrid XLT, built Sept 22, 10K miles, no issues (though I did mention the grabby brakes TSB to the dealer at the 10K service and they did a software update, making the brakes a bit smoother. But we never had an actual issue with them).

I see many posts on this forum that mention problems with Mav Hybrids like "Deep Sleep", axle problems, grabby brakes, etc. Are these the exception or the norm?

I'd like to know how many people on this forum have had NO problems with their Mav Hybrids.

Please comment only if yours is a Hybrid, with NO problems and please include:
1) Model Year
2) Month/Year of delivery
2) # of problem free miles

My Hybrid Lariat, MY24 (23 rollover) is in production now (Oct 26, 2023) and I hope to have it soon. I'm optimistic that my Maverick will be problem free for many years and miles.
22 xl, delivered 8/21/22, 10,500 trouble free miles

I don't see "Deep Sleep" or "Grabby Brakes" as problems.

Problems are when you can't start your vehicle or when DTC codes are shown or warnings like "pull over now" etc.

I have had a few "Deep Sleep" messages on my 2022 Maverick Hybrid.
I was able to "Ready" the Maverick and drive. So not a problem just an annoyance.

This issue was solved with the TSB 23-2050 Grabby Brake Software Update

TSB 23-2060: updated grabby brakes software

So both issues (not problems) were solved by just having one stop at the dealership.

So much whining here about issues that are solvable.

Last week I noticed that my 2007 Escape Hybrid, 2017 Fusion Energi and 2023 Maverick Hybrid all had/have the same "grab" to the brakes when you're about to stop.

So I guess my Maverick technically has "grabby" brakes. 🤷

You have "normal" hybrid brakes that indicate your system is doing its job. I'll admit it does take some getting used to. I remember when my salesman took me for a test drive. He was ready with his hands up to the dash when we came up to the first red light.

1) 2023 Lariat hybrid
2)26 April 2023 delivery, 14 March 2023 build fate
3) 3435 trouble free miles so far :)

this is a site that has a great deal of knowledge for those having issues and i believe that contributes to an impression that this truck is 'trouble' prone. that's called confirmation bias i believe. i LOVE my Mav more the longer i've owned it!
