Thank you that is great information. I always leave the AC on when I shut down the vehicle. Odd I am not seeing any notification now telling me that this ever happened. 38k trouble free miles other than the bad software that caused the vehicle to randomly shut down!

On my 2023 hybrid with 34K miles I just had this happen as I was closing in on a vehicle still over 1/8 miles ahead at dusk somewhat foggy. Scared me because thought maybe a deer or other hazard. Don't think I would have reached the other vehicle for several seconds.

I would recommend doing the recall as soon as possible. Most dealers also have a mobile service option. I experienced three of these events in 2 months and zero in the past month since I had the recall-recall done. Plus judging from diminished reports of this problem the recall-recall works.
