I use one of the sticks I find in this area to dislodge other debris while blasting it with a handheld leaf blower.
I'm considering putting some low density foam in this crevice, but I fear that could become a mold/insect magnet.
I just found this thread! I'm pretty proud of this tank. I'm currently testing the same boring driving pattern (to and from work only, slow and stop-n-go traffic for about 15 miles both ways) but this time using air conditioning. It's shocking how much efficiency HVAC will zap.
This topic had me think "what happens if I only drive around town?" And that is exactly what I did. I only drove my XL Hybrid to and from work (awful traffic) and whatever errands I needed to accomplish during my lunchtime. The results are evident that these hybrid drivetrains are MADE for sucky...
Received the chrome version today. Kind of disappointed that the bulbs are not the same type.
Which 7443s did you get? I am too embarrassed to install until they are full LED.
Throughout the tow-capable unibody vehicle world, most manufacturers indicate if weight distribution hitches are recommended or not. However, Ford chose not to advise for or against in the case of the Maverick.
For my primary tow vehicle, 2016 Explorer, the manual states "For towing trailers...
I suggest using a weight distribution hitch if you're towing a travel trailer. Improves ride and handling characteristics while removing any slop.
For lighter trailers the anti-rattle clips work great.
In my family we have:
2023 Lariat Hybrid
2024 XL Hybrid
2024 Lariat Hybrid
The '23 has a few rattles that I've been too lazy to address, but that's the only thing I can complain about.
I've always disconnected the battery and proceeded with the brake job as normal.
Done this on 2 Fusions with electric park brake and my Escape Hybrid with its funky electric brake booster.
Haven't had a problem yet, suspect will be the same with a Maverick.
One added benefit I didn't see anyone mention: If you pay outright they want you gone ASAP and skip paint sealant and upholstery stain protection theatrics.
I guess I'll have to get my own atmospheric nitrogen to inflate the tires.
I watched my 2023 come off the vehicle transport truck like this.
The 2024 looked dealer installed and very crooked, but I bought that from lot stock so cannot confirm.
As an older millennial, I can say I am by far the youngest owner I've seen.
The same thing happened to Toyota when they spun up Scion and Honda with the Element. Made for the young, almost exclusivity purchased by the 45+ crowd.
As @DocV said, the dealer will need to take care of the sales tax in the transaction and hopefully apply for title for you as well.
At work, we purchased a vehicle from Illinois to title/register in Harris County. Had to get the safety & emissions inspection performed here in TX before the...
It's about $70-$100 depending on if you're registering in an emissions county or not.
I was just renewing one of my vehicle's registration so this was easy to find:

I feel like we need to remember the frontal area when having these conversations.
I think towing trailers with low wind resistance/frontal area, 4K would be no problem with a Maverick hybrid.
From experience, I tow a double jet ski trailer (~2k lbs w/ fuel) with my 155 hp Escape Hybrid no...
My '23 Hybrid has a very small leak in the same place.
I'm putting off taking it to the dealer because it seems like a very minor issue to be out of a vehicle for probably a month.
Interested to see if anyone else has had this problem resolved by Ford service.
Yes.
It is laggy when active and takes much longer to show up when R is selected in my 2024 XL compared to our 2023 Lariat.
I use the mirrors in my XL because I don't trust the camera to give reliable information.
The Maverick sounds are louder (and in my opinion much more goofy sounding) than any other electrified vehicle I've heard. I wish it made the E-Transit/Lightning sounds and volume levels.
There is some utility to the noise makers. I've had to honk at people in my 2007 Escape Hybrid because...
