I suggest using a weight distribution hitch if you're towing a travel trailer. Improves ride and handling characteristics while removing any slop. For lighter trailers the anti-rattle clips work great.

I've always disconnected the battery and proceeded with the brake job as normal. Done this on 2 Fusions with electric park brake and my Escape Hybrid with its funky electric brake booster. Haven't had a problem yet, suspect will be the same with a Maverick.
