There are two camps, the ones that have the display and are happy and the ones that wish they had what they paid for but are trying convince themselves that they didnt get screwed..

Check out this youtube video which shows it. Not fake and it looks pretty terrible IMO.The only photos in this thread are clearly edited - and poorly, at that. Can someone post a picture of what it actually looks like?
I don't like this, personally.
My XL was built May 11th and has a readout only on the right hand (thermostat setting I believe) knob. The left hand knob has a fan icon on it and sets the fan speed. Ambient temperature outside the vehicle is displayed on the dashboard display. My Lariat was built May 5th and has the readouts on the buttons.
I hearing that Ford has removed the temp display from the dial. Now the dial only shows a picture of a thermometer. Is any of this true? I’m also being told that it was a way to save on chips. I guess it still shows up the temp on the radio display. Does anyone know what build date this started. Not a big deal just curious.
The temperature is no longer displayed on the dial for the HVAC. It only shows on the infotainment screen. What???
Which temp are you talking about the outside temp or the A/C temp?
My Lariat was built in mid April and has the temp. readout.
Mine was built last week of April and has it. One guy commented that his was built first week of May and he doesn't. That seems like the cutoff.
I'm not to sure if trims effect it but this change is across multiple ford lines including escape, BS, Bronco and f150 just off the top of my head.
It looks like late April early May was the switch over date. Not sure exactly but from what I’ve read.My Lariat was built in mid April and has the temp. readout.
So forget all the options. Help me contemplate someone kissing their partner's wife's husband maybe while snacking? So no one has ever looked away for a few seconds to oh I don't know flick a cigarette, adjust a radio dial, move a vent, scold a unruly child in the back seat, drank coffee, had a snack, kissed their partner/wife/husband, etc etc![]()
Third camp = Those like ME waiting for their build to happen and NOT knowing which knobs they may or may not pay for? There are two camps, the ones that have the display and are happy and the ones that wish they had what they paid for but are trying convince themselves that they didnt get screwed..
wow. mine is on the HVAC dial.... XLTThe temperature is no longer displayed on the dial for the HVAC. It only shows on the infotainment screen.
OMG! I haven't laughed so hard reading your reply. So forget all the options. Help me contemplate someone kissing their partner's wife's husband maybe while snacking?![]()
I want to see what the actual temperature is set to by looking at the number shown in the knob not have to twist the knob and look at the center display. One thing I did want to point out that some folks might be confused about is even though you don't have the display on the dial you still use the dial to control the temp, you just look up at the display to see the temp change. You don't have to change it on the climate tab in the center display if you don't want to.
You forgot about the folks saying they'll cancel their whole order if theirs doesn't have it. And what about the others talking about spending hundreds of dollars to swap in the dial with the display from Parts? There are two camps, the ones that have the display and are happy and the ones that wish they had what they paid for but are trying convince themselves that they didnt get screwed..
