Autostop needs to be able to be permanently disabled in the menu options. Having to use Forscan is ridiculous

You are correct, but if Ford insists on keeping it as a default function, having the button on the dial itself would be much more convenient. Before turning the dial to D or R, press the button and you are good to go. I constantly forget to hit the button on the console.

I’ve said this before but I would love the shifter if Ford put the Auto Stop Start cancellation button in place of the L on the top.

Actually they completely eliminated Auto Stop Start.
It's part of the hybrid upgrade package...

Just wait until you accidentally bump it while reaching for something on the console and unknowingly put in neutral like I did.

My dog did that in my tacoma with the center console automatic shifter.

I am considering a cover for the mav dialer... hmmm

My hand guides my seatbelt down to lock it,
Start/Stop disable is right there.
Go with the flow during preflight.
