I'd like to suggest a bit more inner coverage for the front wheel wells. As I've noticed that the factory wheel well liners in the front allow for water and other debris to get tossed into the engine compartment. You'll see what I mean when you pop the hood and take a look at where the inner...
Hey there, I was wondering if you had a chance to test your theory. Found out on my non-fx4 I have the same dilemma where I can't turn off stability management.
Seen this while at a Walmart in Texas. Talked with the owner for a bit and we both love our little trucks. Excuse the Santa Cruz in the background. I'll need to Photoshop that out later lol.
I can see this being both a health and safety issue. Between the abundant of moisture within the filter causing mold. And the wet filter blocking aif flow enough to prevent the windows from defrosting after a hard cold rain on a hot day as an example.
This has me curious enough to pull it...
Here's a couple pics after it dried. You can see the discoloration of the filter from the foam and the water line on the side. Only has 1500 miles on it.
Yep. Popped the hood and seen leftover foam from the car wash still on the fresh air grid. Pulled the glovebox down and seen there was wash foam and water soaked up into the cabin air filter.
Correct. I left the system on level 2 auto and didn't think much of it as I've never had this kind of issue with other cars I own. The car wash was a touchless fancy light show gig that did a relatively poor job lol. Where I originally live, Mike's car wash is open all year round with employees...
Hey all, I'm traveling to Texas from Ohio to see family and currently stuck in Dickson, TN. I have little to no airflow coming out of the vents after a car wash and don't know why.
*EDIT: FOUND OUT THAT THE CAR WASH SENT A BUNCH OF WATER/FOAM INTO THE SYSTEM SOAKING THE CABIN AIR FILTER AND...
Hey all, we wound up getting a good bit of fun powder in my area and I went to play around to get an idea how the Maverick handles. Found out real quick that stability control does not turn off at all. I can turn off traction control though so that allowed me to get through a couple spots. I had...
I've noticed the same thing here recently. I wonder if there was some kind of OTA update. It sort of shifts into a higher gear and holds at 1,200rpm rattling the exhaust and straining the motor a bit. I'm just a little under 800 miles on mine. Also adding the windshield/dash click I can't find.
Nice! I wonder if the speed limiter is killing you a bit. Once you get to around 100 it seams to almost purposely start slowing the acceleration by a good bit and shift into a much higher gear as you get closer to 109. It could be me imagining things though since these have the aerodynamics of a...
Bummer that there isn't an official solution found for this issue. I've read pretty much most of the forums and it seams like the windshields may have been installed improperly on many vehicles contributing to NVH. Mine started having the little tic/pop issue from the passenger side when I made...
It's great so far. Drove it all highway as soon as I got it and averaged 29mpg at 75mph. (Verified when I filled up from a 1/4 tank). My only gripes are the headrest doesn't have adjustable tilt and the dash is rattling/popping on the passenger side. Still going through the forums to see what...
Fingers crossed! The good news is that it doesn't take long for them to perform the software update on the ABS module for the recall. They were able to mine within one day with ease.
My Miata I've tossed a rotrex on and don't drive very often has a vta can on it and helped a bit with oil issues. And it helped a bit with idle tuning. Aside from that, one drawback I noticed is I get a rather hydrocarbonous smell when using the fresh air vent. Something I don't particularly...
