Love the certainty and conviction lol
Well I know for a fact Mazda makes all 4 banger engines for Ford. Including the 2.5-VE which is literally the one in the Maverick with the Atkinson 2.5 variation, so yes. Been this way forever now. So NO its not true that "Ford controls the manufacturing nuts to bolts" thats actually obviously false.

What? No. The engine was developed in parternship with Mazda way back, under Ford ownership. Mazda hasn't had anything to do with this engine in over a decade.

That may be what you meant, but the quoted line from you above is just absolutely false.

MY DEALER JUST CALLED ME TO INFORM ME THAT FORD HAD A MEETING WITH THEM(TOWN&COUNTRY-FORD)IN PELL-CITY ALABAMA 35120 YESTERDAY FRIDAY THE 20TH AND INFORM HIM MR" JAMES HOLLADAY' DEALER SALES MANAGER THAT NO HYBRID ARE AVAILABLE AND TO CALL AND GIVE HIS EXISTING ORDERS FOR HYBRIDS, A CALL AND OFFER THEM THE OPTION OF SWITCHING OVER TO THE ECO-BOOST ENGINE.HE MR.JAMES HOLLADAY STATED TO ME THAT MY ORDER THAT WAS PLACED ON OCT-25 WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTILL (OCT-2022)...
Thats about how far I made it before skipping the rest.

Caps lock is not your friend. Sentences and punctuation are your friends

That said, I wouldn't give up a hybrid order. If anything order an ecoboost but keep the hybrid order. You can always back out when it arrives

SO IN FAIRNESS… ahum ahum (throat clearing)… sorry… In fairness, my dealer has called me twice to tell me hybrids won’t be available until the end of the year, and asked if I want to change to a 2.0. I quickly shut that down. “Nope, I’m good. Thanks.” I knew what he was up to, but I know more about the hybrid production process than they do - because I read posts here and because of Tim (Mav Moses) at Long McArthur. Nobody’s orders are cancelled, and hybrids are being built. In fact, they’re ramping up hybrid builds. They’re just wanting you to switch for a quick sale, as they can get 2.0s quicker.

(I hope my message is applicable. I skimmed the middle portion. The all-caps nearly gave me aneurism.) 😂
Aaarrrggghhh! I thought for a minute you were going to say it gave you "capitalism"!🤗

Yeah, unfortunately, at this point that pretty much is wishful thinking. They just scheduled builds for the last week in February. It usually takes 4-6 weeks from build date to deliver. I’m just hoping for May 1 delivery. Ordered Aug 5, and still no build date. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Sorry.
I wish! Our hybrid was In Production as of December 16th. Modules populated on 1/4. Still haven't gotten a "Built" email.

Yes...but the parts are manufactured by suppliers which indeed could be held up. Today's news has Toyota shutting down 11 of its 14 plants because of supply crises amid the pandemic. Does everyone think Ford is immune to this?...no pun intended.

Thats exactly my point. Ford doesn't control ALL aspects of manufacturing.

Ford's main parts suppliers, along with the parts they supply, are as follows:

  • Flex-N-Gate Seeburn - Ontario, Canada: door hinges and arms.
  • NHK Spring - Shiga-ken, Japan: suspension stabilizer linkages.
  • U-Shin Europe - Komárom-Esztergom, Hungary: steering columns.
  • Valeo Electric and Electronic Systems - Czechowice-Dziedzice, Poland: starter assemblies.
  • Webasto Roof & Components - Schierling, Germany: sliding sunroofs.
  • Summit Plastics - Nanjing, China: instrument panel components.
  • Dee Zee - Des Moines, Iowa: running boards.
  • Warn Industries -Clackamas, Oregon: axle assemblies.
  • Chaidneme - Bogota, Colombia: mufflers and exhaust systems.
  • Autoliv - Stockholm, Sweden: airbags6

Other major parts suppliers for Ford include Comstar Automotive Technologies,7 FCC Adams,8 Flextronics Automotive,9 and Mahle Engine Components.10

Meanwhile, some indirect suppliers include Cisco (CSCO), FedEx (FDX), Penske Logistics, Roush, and Union Pacific.

Patently incorrect. Mazda does not build 2.5 engines for Ford. While the engines are based on the old Mazda design, they are built at a Ford plant in Mexico owned by Ford and operated by Ford. Ford and Mazda are no longer married and haven't been for a decade plus.

Its not really odd. Hybrids didn't start getting built until December. It just takes time to build so many vehicles.
My hybrid was built in October....

Supply constraints are not a valid argument from Ford anymore. They choose to prioritize later hybrid orders over those of us who ordered in June and July. They have the components for those builds, but can't be bothered to clear the backlog of June and July orders. It's all just one big joke at this point. If i see my 7/7 order before 7/7/22 great, if not doubt i'll see it till MY23.

****** If we are toe believe Ford has as many orders as they say they do, plus fleet orders, many of us are going to get bumped. ******
When or where has Ford stated how many orders they have?
