Make sure they sealed around the wheel wells in the truck bed. Mine they forgot the sealer and you could see the ground underneath .

What's the most waterproof hard locking/sealing tonneau if money isn't an object? I've got a good bit of money left for accessories and this is probably the most important for my use case.

I'm looking at using my bed like a trunk with things stored in there basically full time and am willing to apply extra sealing and drain tubing if I can keep it dry.

I'm halfway tempted to try building my own by building the rails off the c-channel tie down mounts, but sourcing all the materials and getting the parts stitched together probably isn't worth it.
I had bought the Truxedo Sentry hard roll-up tonneau cover. It looks great, fits perfectly & keeps out almost all water even in a high pressure care wash. It locks in middle & by tailgate & doesn't take up any space in the bed!

I've had 2 different ones: the Undercover Armor Flex and the BAK M4. One on a '22 Maverick and the last on a '23 Maverick. Both were installed by the same accessory dealer. Of the 2, the Undercover was drier in the back tailgate area. But it all depends on water direction/pressure - car wash, truck bed angle - hill/slope, etc, what comes in currently is a small amount that I can live with. I have the BAK now as the Undercover mtg clamps are really, really robust in interfering with the factory sliding bed rails. I had to cut off the bottoms so the tie-down clamp could slide on the rails. The BAK has smaller clamps that will work w/o modification. So I also ended up with a couple of extra Undercover Armor Flex clamps.

Not sure if there is a most waterproof vs water-resistant cover without going to the full one-piece, but I don't feel they are as versatile.

Diamondbackcovers.com looks promising, is expensive, has many options, but have no experience with them. Someone else here does, however can't remember who.
Edit: search Diamondback by Golfsnob.
I've not been super impressed with what I've seen of the Diamondback. It looks like it would take more of a beating than the truck, but it doesn't get out of the way when I would want to use the whole bed and generally seems like overkill for unclear benefits.
Diamondback is the answer to your question about weatherproof-ness, money no object. If that's not the answer you want, I think you've phrased your question incorrectly. If you want other capabilities, every other tonneau option I've researched will let moisture in somewhere; and if it's not coming from the cover it'll come from the tailgate. The closest next best thing, from what I've found would be the Roll-n-Lock M-series. If you get the XT model, it has built in t-track rails.

Good luck!

Do you know which part of the front? I do know there's a design challenge with the bed where there's nowhere for water to flow from the top of the cab except the bed. There's also a gap in the plastic around the bed top where water is going to want to get in.

This is more a feature of the truck than the cover and it's a challenge with most if not all covers.
I have a Gator FX3 (made by BAK IIRC?) and it leaks a little up front, and a little down the rails. We're talking a VERY small amount, but it's enough that I put luggage in a tub for transport during the wet season (and being I'm in the PNW....thats a lot of the year). The tub also makes organization of the bed easy, so it's kind of been a plus LOL.

I have been lazy about it, I really need to follow up on the ticket I opened ages ago. But I think the solution will be pulling the cover off, replacing the foam seal at the front, and putting a small bead of silicone everywhere.

I'm still quite happy with the cover. I use the bed all the time and it does a good job keeping stuff in and out. I also paid $745 shipped (summer 2022), which is a lot better than the advertised price now. I'm not sure what the email offer price from RealTruck.com would be now.

I have the DiamondBack and it's not water proof yet. I'm adjusting but still getting some water not much but some.

Where do you find the water intrusion occurring?

Looks like it's coming in around the middle section that anchors the two lids/doors. I'm going to get in the bed tomorrow and shut the tailgate to look for daylight.

I have the Ford accessory tri-fold hard tonneau. It's pretty good at keeping water out, but "waterproof?" No. I'll find a little bit of water at the front of the bedliner after a Florida summer deluge, which is a better job at keeping water out than I expected.

It seems to come in at the corners, I put some of the foam weather strip in the gap in plastic on either side of the trim. I’m hoping that reapplying weather stripping along the front will stop or slow down the drips

I went with the OEM Hard Trifold added from my dealer after my Mav was delivered (as hard trifold was normally a very low % constraint item). This past weekend was a constant rain for the most part of all Fri and Sat. (here in MKE) and I wanted to see how much the bed cover leaked.

Note: I was expecting some to leak and wish I would have taken photos for better proof (as I will in future), but the amount that leaked in I would count as highly acceptable. Also having no bed cover will offer no protection from rain/water.

This is not my photo, found it on here from another MTC posting. I added the arrows on where I noticed the water coming in from (I am also going to see if I can do anything to stop it more). It appeared with the OEM Ford Hard Trifold was leaking in from the very front corners of the bed cover(cab side). The water ran down and over the wheel well and accumulated in just the first...umm... rib? of the floor. It then channeled the length of the bed and out the tailgate. Both sides only accumulated on the first "rib" channel and the amount was barely wider than your normal bead of water running down the windshield that worked its way out to the tailgate. Nothing like the whole bed floor was wet or anything like that. The path was pretty much how my yellow arrows indicate and only where I observed water.

So I would assume as long as you had something not resting in the channel on the floor itself that you didnt want to maybe get wet... it should not get wet at all. Worst case I would suggest maybe a piece of plastic or shallow tote or something to help keep it off the bed floor. That way you dont need to possibly have to seal things with lids in the bed, but get something to help keep it off the actual floor.

From what I have read here none of them are water proof! A fiberglass cap is the way to go for water proof if that is your goal.
