Hey y'all, I just got my Mav in yesterday and bought the hard folding tonneau cover with it. Issue is, took car through the wash today and the inside of the bed is soaked. Has anyone else purchased this that can tell me if they have experienced the same issues or if the dealership just improperly installed it?

A car wash is usually where you will see the most water coming in, since it is pretty extreme water pressure and weird angles that the water is spraying from. Nothing like mother nature would normally toss at your truck.

No cover will ever promise to be waterproof. Mayyyyyyyybe some specialty cover that markets itself specifically as being waterproof as their main selling point.

Otherwise they are all simply "water resistant", and you will usually see that in small print somewhere on the marketing materials. Big difference.

Edit to add: One trick to see if maybe your cover is a bit "off" somewhere is to get someone to go in the bed at night and shine a flashlight at the 4 corners while you are outside. See if you can see any light penetration anywhere. If yes, see if you can stop the light coming thru with some minor adjustments.

Understandable, but again, soaked, as resistant as me throwing a piece of plywood up there with a bungee cord soaked.

Bummer man! I edited my original comment after you replied with a few other thoughts.

I'm going to add some gasket around it.
Let us know if this works. I have same issue when it rains. Would love ot to be more resistant.
