Well, the 2x6 is definitely more cost-effective...but with such a beautiful truck, I felt it deserved this extravagance.

Absolutely! Having a new and good looking truck means one should up their game on the quality and look of accessories. The Maverick is a beautiful truck and cheap-looking add-ons only detract. Let me add that not in all cases . . . many are using the Maverick as strictly a utility work truck and just want the most cost effective solutions.

I didn't discover Wyoming until I was 73. Love this place, especially with the county differences on the plates so I could also get "GOOSE" for a 1-time $30 charge. There were 6 other counties that already had GOOSE taken. Leaves more money for Bed Divider extravagance.

I decided to splurge and abandon the old 2 x 4 style of bed divider that I had used for years in my old S-10. So I used some points and cash and got the Ford version.

Notes: At first, I thought my bed was sprung, as the divider absolutely would NOT lock into place. The Ford worldwide instruction sheet is the usual Ford "quality."

In the pictures, you can see the 4 torx bolts, 2 on each side. After going from side to side trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, I decided to loosen all 4 bolts and jiggled it a bit and it went into place and the locks were able to be used. There is a picture in the instructions (not included...you have to go print them yourself) that shows there is something inside the track that will allow the adjustment.

I am not sure what Ford was thinking when it included the cable. Nothing in the instructions really talked about it. I can see it useful for keeping a gas can or something similar in place. Anyway, here are pictures as someone requested.

I bought one for my truck and had the same issue as well. Loosened the 4 torx screws and it now fits fine. My understanding was the cable was for theft deterrent, but since I have a hard tri-cover I probably won't use it.
I recently took a load of cardboard to recycle along with a dead flat-screen tv (it only lasted 12 years!) and just removed the panel and left it in the garage until I got home.

The Ford Logo is on both sides of the divider (not just a flimsy single piece). Shipping weight was 21 lbs. Now that the width is adjusted properly, it is easy to both slide it forward and backward in the track and to remove it.

Edit: The black wire you see in some pictures is run from the LED bed light. I tapped into it and will be installing some LED strip(s) somewhere in the front part of the bed so it will come on automatically whenever the LED light is on (by switch or by the automatic stuff.). Not sure yet what I will do, but I wanted to get the wire in place while I had the rails and bedliner apart.

Yes. It comes in its own sealed plastic bag with an "instruction sheet" that basically had just a QR code on it and the myriad of languages Ford always has.

I ordered one (along with the rail kit, and a whole bunch of other stuff) from Eastgate Ford for $340 which is US$250 - a great price. Their mail order parts department is AWESOME.

Strange but interesting, the Canadian ford accessories website still do not listed that part and this winter my dealer searched with the American part number and told me it was not available. I might order this one since shipping from Ontario to Quebec will clearly be less expensive. thanks for the info

When at the most forward position(stored out of the way up against the cab) is the bed size still a considerable amount? Or is there a gap between bed/cab and the divider?

The divider is working well...the only improvement I can see might be to have it swivel up and lock at 90 degrees to allow long items without removal like one of the aftermarket ones.

So this divider kit is $310 on the US Ford Accessories website. Using code "AFF20" brings it down to $248. Shipping is free to my local dealer. Total after taxes is $265.36.

Is it worth it at that price? I was kinda planning to use some unistrut rail to DIY my own bedrail and save some money to put towards a tonneau cover. And possibly use my FordPass Rewards Points (if they ever show up).

EDIT: I see now that this just the divider and doesn't include the rails.

Thanks for your post. It saved me a lot of time. When my bed divider didn't drop right in, I went straight for the torx wrenches.

I did learn something about adjusting the cleats when positioning the divider. When you pull the locking pins. you can turn them about a quarter of and they will not drop back in the holes. That makes it easy to move the divider forward and aft.
