When I bought an XLT, I had a Chevy Silverado. I was very concerned about the small bed. So, I got a Century CT, the best looking bed cover on the market, because it was easy to remove. It was never removed because I needed more bed space.
I just replaced the XLT with a Lariat. After living...
In 2021, not wanting ActiveX seats, I ordered a fully loaded XLT, as my retirement vehicle, thinking I would get everything I wanted. I now have a Lariat on order because I miss all the things I didn't get.
Looking at pictures of the 26 Lariat, I was reminded of my mother's 59 Buick. The grill was made up of emerald cut chrome rectangles with a huge "V" in the middle. Removing the "V" changed the grill from good looking the great looking. I wonder how the Lariat grill will look if the Ford...
Short emergency trips only. My family complains the back is too vertical. For a planned trip of over 10 minutes we use my wife's Volkswagen.
If an extended cab with a 6' bed was an option I probably would have bought it.
I am upgrading my 22 XLT to a 26 Lariat. Currently, I have a Tuxedo Sentry CT tonneau. I love the look, relatively practicality and zero leaks-except at the tailgate. My previous truck had a 6' bed with a 2' toolbox. Going to 4.5' bed I picked a cover that could be easy to remove. In 3...
Where I live there are a lot of Mavericks. So. I have follow them several times. To me they look like a SUV. The third brake light being 4.5' from the back bumper causes a depth perception problem.
When I first got my hybrid, I try auto hold a few times, but didn't find it useful.
The last place I would use it would be a drive through. You step on the gas then back on the brake, then on the gas then brake again, over and over. Maybe, if you are a two foot drive this natural. I just ease...
I take my Maverick though the car wash about once a week. Even though, I don't live where freezing is a problem, I always open the gas door and dry it with a rag.
In about 1970 at Christmas time, I drove from California to South Dakota. Many of the roads had been salted, so I went straight to a car wash. Both doors froze shut and the windows wouldn't roll down. I spent the next couple of hours locked in a heated garage.
After almost 2yrs waiting for Dee Zee to come out with a bumper step for the Maverick, I finally gave up and bought a 13" folding step stool.
As you can see, it takes up a whole lot of space.
My OEM antenna was bent in a carwash. So, I replaced it with a 2" antenna. Less than 20 miles from home I would lose my two of my favorite stations. I switched to a 4" antenna which the carwash stripped the phony carbon fiber off. I now have a very flexible 6 3/4" antenna with adequate reception.
I clicked on the link, liked the price, and put in my shopping cart. As my usual habit I wait at least a day to cool off before ordering.
Then I came back to the post to look at the pictures and noticed it was an ECO and probable had a compact spare tire. So, I went out and look at my Hybrid...
