That on a Maverick, parked next to the big rigs that normally have them.

Now that is a photo for the park next to big truck thread!

I’ve never had a lug nut fetish.

I saw an idiot try and pass a tractor trailer on the right in the emergency lane with a jersey wall.
The trucker chewed the idiots car up real nice.
Seems his spikes were heavy duty.
I think one of the jersey walls moved.

I doubt it was the spikes since they typically are plastic snap-ons. More likely it was the the actual lug nuts on a hub the extends outside of the tire.

As for the purpose? None really. But when I purchased my 1978 Subaru Brat, I considered crafting a set of dualies for the back and slapping slapping a bumper sticker on it that said "When I grow up I want to be an 18-wheeler." I didn't do that one either, but it was fun to consider. Small silly things, particularly the ones that are subtle, amuse me. :D

Okay, dualies on a Brat would not be subtle, but you get the picture.

Careful, you'll be giving ppl ideas about buying up 4 skinny spares, stick on temu arch flares, and stacking wheel spacers to make it all work.
