The spikes you see on large trucks are snap on plastic.
Oh, yeah. Not sure if I would actually do it or not. The thought crossed my mind and I generated to pic to get an idea of how it would look.
I doubt it was the spikes since they typically are plastic snap-ons. More likely it was the the actual lug nuts on a hub the extends outside of the tire.
As for the purpose? None really. But when I purchased my 1978 Subaru Brat, I considered crafting a set of dualies for the back and slapping...
I currently use a net from Harbor Freight that has seen better days. Most days it divides the back third of the truck so that the groceries do not slide to the front. But it does double duty when it is time to make a run to the junk yard or remove downed tree limbs. I was pleasantly surprised...
I walked away from the dealers that required you to purchase the protection package. Leith Ford in Wendell required me to watch a very short video, about 2-3 minutes, before deciding if I wanted the package or not. No hassle, no pressure.
I use mine while driving. I suspect the concern is that you may try to switch screens or settings while driving. I just put phone in holder and check it like any other gauge.
Well I thought it was a cute way to keep the wasp from colonizing my receiver hitch. I bought a MaxxHaul 70429 Trailer Hitch Cover with 12 LEDs Brake Light, Black, 2 inch from Amazon. It works fine except the truck disabled my BLIS system and when I use the left turn signal I get a warning...
Give Car Scanner ELM OBD2 a try. You can access all of the features in the demo mode and play with it. There are some features that require you to buy it for $5, but there are a lot that you can use for free
For about $25, less if you have Amazon prime, you can have the Tach, Battery Status and a whole lot more. Best part is there is no wiring involved.
I'm an absolute noob to OBD2 so I'm comfortable that most anyone can use this. It can take you a couple of minutes to connect each time you...
@bronxbill congrats. I hope you enjoy yours like I have enjoyed mine. While I haven't made 700 miles on a tank of gas, I am happy to say I am in the 600 mile club. :-)
Greetings. I picked my Maverick up 1/5/24. Loving every minute behind the wheel so far. I'm not much on accessories. Most are eye-candy to me. I'd like a lot of them, but at the end of the day they don't really provide a measurable benefit. YMMV. I did opt for the tri-fold tonneau cover...
My first mod when my truck arrives will be a bed mat to protect my spray in bed liner. Yeah, I know they purpose of the SBL is to protect the bed. I want to keep it nice looking as long as possible.
