I am not especially tall or large yet when exiting the driver seat I found the door opening to tight.
Do you have the same experience?
Not at all and I am over 6 foot with two knee replacements.

At 5’8” and 175, I have no problems getting in and out of my Mav. Nothing gets stuck and my head clears the door.
I do have a problem getting in and out of my son’s F250 though. That truck is way too tall to get in and out of, even with running boards. It seems like a monster truck compared to my Mav.

I have problems in my RAV when the seat is up too far. I hate to say it, but I think it is that 75 part that is the issue. I have a 72 problem, myself, with bad knees and hips. High door sills are hard on us golden oldies. I hope I don't have the issue when my Mav gets here, but I will deal with it.

I'm seeing a trend here. A lot of tall old people are buying the Maverick. I'm 65, 6'-2" and 200 lbs. No problems. You do have to pick up that left foot. Basically like driving a small car.
I have a full size truck for the real truck stuff. This is my economy car with a little bed.

I do have a question for all. Are You staying off Your Left foot?

In seriousness, I'm 5'8" 175lbs and I fit fine. I also fit when I was 285lbs. I just have more room between me and the wheel now.

My 15-year-old son is 6'2" and prefers the Explorer, but he fits fine in the back seat.

Are you old? Might be loss of muscle, or hip issues?

I had these issues, and ended up wrecking my weather seal along the threshold. Got some PT, and have been doing leg work, so now I have a new seal, and get my clodhoppers in and out without damage.

I am 6' 2" and I don't have any issues unless my wife does not park correctly in the garage. I find it a little more difficult to exit with the door only slightly opened and knowing how easy it is to scuff the interior plastic panels.

I'm 6'4", 14 shoe, and about 265lbs. I have the seat all the way back. I am pretty wide in the shoulders, so I do have an issue with my left arm and shoulder being pressed against the pillar. This is because the seat is all the way back, if it were about 4" more forward, my arm would clear the pillar. I also make sure that when I get in and out, I am close to the steering wheel because I have worn through the rubber door gaskets by rubbing them when entering and exiting the vehicle. And, yes... you have to lift your leg and try not to scuff the door when getting out.

Way back when in Drivers Ed, we were taught to drive with only 1 foot, and that was the right one lol.

Easy ingress/egress is always more of a mobility issue than a size issue, IMO.
