They do the same. Arguably the hybrid has slightly better braking with the regen and the same size brakes but nothing to write home about. If you have to pass people at 110mph then maybe the EcoBoost. End of the day both of them will safely tow and stop 4000lbs.
There was a transmission design change, as well as the addition of AWD in some cases for 2025+.
Yes it still seems odd to me, but it could be to allow for proper module wake up, shut down, reset, recalibration, etc.
I honestly couldn't find anywhere where it says to change it at all with info direct from Toyota for the hybrid. I did find an unverified source that said 30-60,000 miles for severe. Probably the same 100,000miles.
For reference sake Toyota recommends 100,000km (60,000miles) for severe and 160,000km (100,000miles) for regular use on their E-CVT. That being said they don't tow or haul as much generally but their lower regular duty interval is nice to see. I do feel like 50,000km (35,000miles) is slightly...
I honestly don't believe that there is ever a time when conditions aren't severe. The vehicle would need to be in climate controlled garage with HEPA filtration running on rollers at 30mph for 11 miles then shut off for it not to be severe.
Yes they would, maybe in the next refresh Ford can use an OLED screen so anything black is off and doesn't produce light while still retaining mandated buttons.
Fluids need changed. Even the Hybrid has a 50,000km transmission fluid change interval if you tow. These aren't two speed Ford-O-Matics. The fluid is used as a coolant, lubricant and hydraulic. There are dozens of clutches that need to slip for user comfort each one contaminates the fluid. I'm...
14.5km/L in the winter on Michelin X-Ice Snow. It got cold enough a couple times the hybrid system wouldn't kick on at all to protect the batteries.
20.5km/L in the summer Factory Continental TX
Gotcha I wasn't 100% sure, the reverse and box lights don't need Canbus or resistors they aren't monitored by the BCM. *Edit* *I may be wrong and it was only the box lights that are 921 I swear I put them in the reverse lights too, I'll double check.* My reverse lights are 921 equivalent (I'm...
That would be fairly easy with V-band clamps. Just need to make each muffler a standard length and a couple vbands, the hardest part would be lifting it up each time. For R&D that's a pretty good idea.
