  1. Swap Tremor front spring and strut to AWD Hybrid

The rear suspension is different between the FWD and the 4WD/AWD. The pre-2025 Hybrid was only FWD so the kit that includes front and rear suspension won't fit...at least not the rear. I've seen some sites show the front components are the same but have not verified, and am hoping they are.
  2. REGISTER NOW • 2027 CARLISLE FORD SHOW • JUNE 4-6

Interesting, but just a bit out of my way...like 80 gallons of gas....1-way.
  3. Ford Issues Do-Not-Drive Advisory for Certain 2021-2026 Maverick; Owners Urged to Contact Dealerships Immediately (June 1, 2026)

That isn't a tie rod end, that's the lower ball joint, holding the bottom of the spindle. If it comes out:
  4. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

I had to look at the picture for a minute thinking W.T.H. Some weird wrap on a dish type wheel and some low profile tires ...then realized those were playing cards used to protect the tire from the over spray....never thought of using cards for that...pretty cool
  5. I have both found out what my rattle was and won dumbass of the year!

  7. Powerful Oil Pan Drain Plug - Yes or No

Well, I see I'm resurrecting an old thread, but I like this idea and will try to remember it for my next oil change. A magnet on the oil pan won't work because the pan is non-ferrous (magnet won't stick).
  8. Tested 87, 91 & 93 Octane.

Leaving the intake valve open part way into the compression stroke creates a longer power stroke than compression. This allows more time to burn the mixture.

  11. 2026 Flat Towing -- install Blue Ox base plate with brake/turn wiring and Air Force One braking system

Welcome to the club, but I'm afraid any hints I have to offer wouldn't apply to 2025+ models
  12. Any spray for easier removal of dead bugs for long road trip?

Be careful with the plastic mesh type of bug screens, the plastic can swell with heat and block air flow....but if you are putting it on the outside of the grill, be careful the metal mesh doesn't scratch anything
  13. Any spray for easier removal of dead bugs for long road trip?

Clear bra for vehicles is usually PPF (Paint Protection Film). I had a tint shop apply it to my Fusion when I had it tinted. If you do the full hood instead of just the front portion you really have to look to see that it's applied. My wife's Sonata had it applied and 16 years later the...

  15. Tailgate lights recommendation?

Well, now that you've explained it...
  16. Fuel Gauge Question

This annoys me so much with the new interface on our copiers. So many unnecessary clicks to enable the function keys, then select their assignment, then enable changing the name because our software names the button a really long name so it gets reduced to micro-font to fit within the button
  17. Tailgate lights recommendation?

The tailgate is the original. It hasn't been replaced yet. It still functions perfectly fine and they want too much money for new and even more for used. Someday I'll find a deal, until then I disguised the dent with the peek-a-boo sticker :)
