I don't know about a Bronco, but on a Escape they beep when your close to an object going slow either foward, or backward.Absolutely not. This is 100% the driver's fault and forward sensors would not help.
I have forward park assist sensors on my Bronco. They help you pull forward when parking, they will alert on tall curbs, light poles, etc.
Forward sensors would not do anything about a reversing and cutting the wheel too soon / too sharp or just generally screwing up.
