I had a similar problem like that in my Ford Windstar. Turned out to be a spider nest is my fuel filler tube. Took it to dealer and they flushed it out. Have no idea how they even got in there. If dealer would have gave me a full tank when I picked up that company vehicle they would have caught it.Does he say if the nozzle is inserting fully. This is important in many of our day-to-day activities!!! Hopefully not having trouble because the diesel nozzle is larger!
Throwing mud on the wall here to see if anything sticks: Faulty pump if this is not happening all the time?. Tank has more gas in it than the display is showing? Somehow the nozzle is such a tight fit that it is not letting air escape?
I would move to another pump and see what happens; however sounds like it happens all the time
Dime for letting us know what the dealer says!!!!
